Well without specific info on the car, how can we possibly tell you what kind of health it should be in?
I've seen Clio's with under 50k on them that are practically fit for the scrappy, and equally much higher mint examples that have been nurtured and cared for, so your question is almost impossible to answer.

I've had 3, 2 litre Clios.... a Williams 1, a 172 Cup and a 182.
The engines are cracking providing they have been regularly serviced and timing belts changed at prescribed intervals.
My concern with ANY 100k miles french car are the overall build quality issues..... rattling trim, worn seats, steering wheel, gearknob etc etc.
Steer clear.... 172's aren't exactly thin on the ground.

Mate of mine had one he used for work, it had racked up well over 100k in 3 years, was mainly motorway miles, but did several trackdays in it too and it was healthy as you like.
Had minimal reliability problems in all that time, was superb on fuel, fairly quick, fun to drive and he loved it.
As long as it's been looked after properly it should be ok.
Another lad I know has a 306 GTi-6 with ~140k on the clock, again mainly motorway miles, but this thing drives like one with 40k on the clock, it's mint!
