My bro-in-law had one as company wheels, he liked it a lot and the added Revo will be nice
Probably worth changing the oil regularly, a lot of Audis are set up on the "long life" service regime and up to 20K between oil changes on a remapped motor is a bit risky .... and worth using the full-on 506.01 spec oil too.
They don't half chew tyres though, my bro was going through a full set of four every 10K ... but your mileage may vary, as they say in America

I ordered an 06 A4 1.9 TDI SE last week and I'm hoping it gets delivered at the end of the week.
It's the 115BHP version, can you get an aftermarket chip for this or, like Subaru, would it inavlidate the warranty??

I was considering the 2.0 but the price difference was over 2k.
How come the 1.9 TDI is no longer getting built but it is in all the 06 brochures and if I ordered extras with mine I would have had to wait for a factory build??

You can get plug in chips which you can simply remove when you go for a service, so this might be the best thing. Results arent quite as good as a full re-map, but still be a significant improvement

They have gave you a 2005 brochure
I could be wrong, but i am basing this on fact as of sunday the 5th of march 2006.
You have purchased a nice car though & all the best with it

Nice car, and was on my shortlist. Well, it ended up that the shortlist was the 2.5 TDI sport avant quattro or the 330d sport touring. I went with the BMW because I preferred the drive by a fairish margin, but there's times when I wished I had the quattro drivetrain for sure. There's also times when I wish the suspension on the BMW was a bit more forgiving... It was a close call!

Firstly, the A4 Cabriolet is not available in the 1.9 TDI.
It is only available in 1.8T, 2.0T FSI, 3.2 FSI, 3.2 FSI Quattro, S4 Quattro, 2.0 TDi and 3.0 TDI Quattro
The 1.9 TDI in the A4 range is only available in the Saloon and Avant rage.
Secondly the brochure was sent by Audi.co.uk 2 days ago and is the 2006 brochure, please see below

I also rang Audi today and there are no plans to discontinue the 1.9 TDI as it is there most popular car
Cheers

Hanley - I am only going with what the Salesman told me on Sunday.
I asked why the 1.9tdi wasnt available on the cab & he told me it was being "discontinued". Now unfortunatly i am only going with what i am being told.
Also think about it this way ......... why have two diesel engines in the same range, in the same cars ?? ableit the cab. Doesnt make sense to me.

Hope you enjoy your audi when it comes. I had the 2.5tdi quattro sport and it was a great car. Nothing ive ever been in came close to the quality of the fit and finish in my A4. My old man has the 1.9 PD engine and i had a golf previously with the same engine and it is a cracker. Had mine re-mapped at star performance and it transformed the car. Im sure you will love it.

I'm sure we'll be very happy with the 1.9 TDI
Hopefully it'll be here Friday
Must admit when I test drove it the quality, comfort and whole surrounding in the car was amazing compared to the STI
Looking forward to 50MPG as well

Mark, I've not seen much about the remaps on the V6: any good? i guess that's a daft question, but does it make a big difference to the engine? I was expecting more from the 2.5, but in standard form I didn't think it worth the premium over the 1.9.

Got the AMD remap and the power/torque curve are the same a standard but higher, makes a good difference but would still like a bit more
