I'm out !!!!!!
Meant to have a horrible driving position. Not that good at Handling, but, OH, I want one.
Remember years ago when I was 16/17. Was sat outside the village pub having lunch when a red Rossa pulled up. Some fat bloke got out of the drivers seat, and a stunning brunette (at least half his age) got out too. I just couldn't keep my eyes off the car.

Closet fan here, since the late eighties when I got a spin in E*** DPK, one of the original cars tested by Autocar etc. A local gent owned it, brought it to a show at the Transport Museum I worked at, and I spent the day polishing it.
He came and took me out in it a few weeks later, picture the scene: me in an oily boilersuit doing 140 (on a nearby private road ). Got back to the museum, and I nearly lost my eyebrows from the heat when he lifted the engine cover. Seem to remember the gearbox being a bit of a brute.
Would dig out the photos, but I think the car's aged better than yours truly.
Mike.

I drove one at a Ferrari day - what a disappointment it was. Way too heavy, the brakes had no feel. Crap driving position. wider than a bus. I wouldn't have one given me... seriously.
My scoob is much faster (where it matters) and handles better.

Last year i repaired one with a running fault,i ended up doing a few things on it inc cambelt and fitting a custom made stainless exhaust with all cats removed. This car was swiss spec and LHD.
It was absolutely rapid. My everyday car at the time was a 300bhp scoob,so that wasnt slow but this thing was very quick.
Hit the rev limiter in 2nd gear at 200kph...I couldnt believe it too!!Took out a friend who has a Evo 6 and a scoob rally car..He was white within minutes.
Not sure why people are dissapointed, perhaps the ones drivin were in a poor state of tune?? i aint sure,my own experience was a good one!!

Quite possibly, they seem very long in the gears from what i remember.
Apperently, when the car went back to Switzerland it reached 300kph on the Autobahn..The guy that owned it was an Ex formula 3 racer and clubman rally driver,so he knew how to drive it!!!

There was one on the Ferrari red letter day I did a few years back, but I never got to drive it. Apparently they eat gearboxes, and replacements are rather tricky to find! Despite having that 80s' look - I still like the look of them
