The std tire size on the 14" wheels for the 1.6?
And does anyone know how if there's a simple calculation for rolling radius rather than work out the sidewall height from the width?
Cheers
Dave

Either one will be close enough actually, thanks
That was quick!
I was actually trying to check up if I have the right gearbox in mine (by using the tire size to find the ratios) as it's top speed is a shade over 100mph in 4th then runs out off puff and slows down in 5th.
60mph is about 2500revs. I don't think it's down on power though as it still seems to get to 60 in about 8.5 secs (2nd gear will run to 65-70).
I think there's 3 different boxes for the 1600 but this seems too long to me??

I had a 1.9 GTi and that could reach 65-70mph (according to the speedo) at the rev limiter in 2nd (redline started at 6k but I think the limiter didn't cut in until 6500). I remember reading that the 1.6 definately had lower gears than the 1.9.

The 1.9 Gti had 185/55x15s ( a lot of people put cheaper 195/50x15s on though )
