what car ?
time has come to change my car, was planning on getting a CTR, but have just found out my insurance wont cover me until I am 25, in a few months..
anyone any suggestions for something not very old, sporty and easier on insurance than the CTR ?
would like to keep it down to around 10k, but could stretch it for a nice motor..
any ideas ??

Clio Trophy.
EDIT: I was 23 when looking at a CTR. I also looked at a Focus RS, Leon Cupra R and oddly a E30 M3.
The Focus and Leon were around £800 fully comp the M3 which was a German import, and LHD was £1000 and the CTR was £1250 ?!!?!? So I can empathise with you on the insurance front

do quite like the trophy, but are they not grp17 too ?
have had a look around, and the general overview is, come back when you are 25 or pay 1400quid or more !

I'd go for a Focus RS, as I've had one before and there brilliant.
You will probably have up up your budget though. Expect to pay about £14k, but well worth it. A blufin'd one will leave a Clio & CTR for dead. A standard one will still beat them both.

I had a Focus RS for a week (I was selling it for a friend) and I loved it, but I spent the whole week ragging it around and it really drank some juice, great fun to drive but I would get in some serious trouble for speeding if I had another !
edit, just found a pic

Yeah, look at other insurance companies...at 21 with 4 years NCB, an Impreza is still £1500ish a year but a volvo V70R with 100bhp more is £850. I can insure pretty much anything bar an Evo or an STi for reasonable sums. Even if I didn't have any NCB the Volvo is only £1000. And that is 330bhp + 460NM...pretty snappy
