To All You Toyota Aygo Owners Out There!!
Need advise. Had her just over a month and feel the need to Jazz her up a bit without spending too much. When I say jazz I mean stuff like induction kits and the like and probably having the silver alloys painted white. Where can I get tuning parts for the Aygo!!!! I AM SERIOUS OH YES. Got a trip to the Ring in August and if this pulls off then the UBERwagon stays at home.

What's your general opinion on the car?
I've not that driven too many cars, but to be honest I am not that impressed.
Quite slow, crap cornering ability (possibly due to tyres) visibility seems poor, dont like the variable weight steering, adjusting the seat is a pain, gearbox feeling is poor (might get better with age, never driven a new car before).. etc
Fortunately it's my mother's car, but I do drive it occassionally...
Cheers.

Just bought a Peugeot 107 new for the wife, as you know they are essentially the same car..
Not many good mods about yet, still too early but there is a K&N panel filter available, have heard of some lowering springs and a few tacky stick on bits have started appearing on ebay..
I planning on a new set of alloys, colour coding the black bits and that's about it for now..
The replica Rcup decals, tints and turbo conversion can come a bit later

Brendan - it is sunny and I have had a few scrumpy jacks on the hammock
Gompo - general opinion is that owning a 15-19mpg car at the same time as the Aygo (combined mpg of just under 60) makes sense for me with the price of petrol nowadays. As for the ride and handling, well what do you expect of a 6.5k car? - mine doesn't even have AC. I do find that all the controls are light and the gearbox as sweet as my old P1. For a car weighing a sniff over 800kg it's pretty nimble on the turns. But your right, visibility is bad but only from the A pillar. I think it's a funky little car. Bang on the K+N and Ace cafe here I come for world domination.
BARTOP - kewl. I nearly fell for the 107 version on looks, but getting the Aygo means I can go to all these lovely Jap car meeting which I missed since selling the P1

just before they ended production on an arosa, a friend of mine bought one of the last black 1.4 60bhp models and at the time the basic model got free upgrade to "S" model which was £500 more. because there were 2 dealers in the area after his business he took them to the cleaners. sills, fog's, spoiler, all genuine seat parts. got it all for 6500. what a great little car that was highly recomend. vw build. slightly gutting to his sister who payed over 11K for a used lupo gti

The possible problem is that I am comparing it to my Mum's old Seicento Sporting, which obviously lacked the safety (and to some extent reliability) merits of the Aygo, but was a lot more fun to drive but also more user friendly. Little things annoy me with the Aygo, like the interior light only coming on when the driver's door is open and not the passengers, and the speed it manages to steam up etc.
Maybe the Seicento spoilt me, it just seemed very easy going but still a hoot to drive.

Gompo - didn't think you were having a go in the first place.
Bartop - keep em coming.
Was hoping someone point me to a trick induction kit or should I just get a generic K+N and a few hose clips?

Tony, just get a ma-hoos-ive K&N filter cone, some Samco hosing and some jubilee clips and do it yourself. As per our secret weapon in the back of the MR2.
You'll have a blast, and it'll cost 1/2 as much!
Rich
PS - I'll get that money to you soon. Might pay for the K&N!
