Ever since I found out that was the car the production team on Top Gear used to follow and film ferraris and things as a young un, I thought why have a ferrari when you can have a 4 door saloon that goes (nearly) as quick.
Immense things, I'd love a go in one now, and if a good one evr came up I'd seriously consider it!!

Too right with only 930 (350 in the UK) of them ever made (I think) you'd be really hard pushed to find an original / decent one now.
One of the few cars to go up in price in the future I reckon

Toyota Prius
qoute 'The motor/generator, which is geared to run at twice the engine’s crankshaft speed, added 1,000 rpm for a top speed of 10,000 rpm — a feat that required some serious engineering and earned a patent. The higher output that results contributes to the Prius’ improved midrange acceleration.'
smug!

The V16 I think you're talking about is an old BRM V16 F1 car, 1.5 L supercharged. Saw it at goodwood last year, it is the best sounding car ever built, IMHO. Probably revs well past 10k, but certainly doesn't have front drive or 4 doors.
Monaro VXR is 3 door, and a big V8 which I doubt will rev past 7,000, so you're a mile out with that. The Lotus Carlton was 4 door and as standard only kicking out about 100bhp/litre from a big twin turbo 6, which is also not a recipe for high revs - I don't believe for one second the "redlining at 9300rpm" quote either.
I know Mazda RX8 has "close to 10,000rpm" redline, and is maybe describable as 5 door (rear suicide doors). Integra R can tune to 10k+, but is a 3 door, as is any civic R I've seen.
The S2000 claims to have "the highest revving production car petrol engine" or at least did on it's release, but that also doesn't have 5 doors.
Based on the above, as the question states "what vehicle", I think a little bit of "thinking outside the box" is going to be required, as it probably won't be a standard roadgoing car.

Just doing a bit more on google, the old Honda N360 did 10,000rpm but looks like a 3 door. I'm beginning to think the answer might be one of the jap 660cc lumps - genreally, small capacity = high revs.
