Hubby has a Scooby, I have a Seat Leon Cupra R.....But.....
My hubby ScoobyD-71 has a M reg WRX Import which is running at 285BHP....
I have a 54 Plate Seat Leon Cupra R, which has been Remapped and runs at Approx 260BHP.....
Now the Scooby from a standing start will leave me standing as my car is front wheel drive, and traction is an issue, but a rolling start from 40mph I win hands down....
Its interesting to own 2 performance cars that are so very different to drive, the Scooby produces Raw power, the Seat refined power....
Has anyone else got any comparisons of various marques?

Revo remap?
normally a remapped Cupra will beat a scoob through the run from a higher range, but as you say , from a standing start the scoob will hit the deck faster and the Leon will be left lagging behind. there ARE , however , many Seats that will scare ANY Scoob, Ihi 's for instance.
imagine a little 'super-mini tearing the throat out of a scoob and handing it back to it on a plate

Yep I have a revo remap.....the Leon Cupra R is seriously underated.....and really shouldnt be!!!!
The IHI conversions are amazing....and rapid as anything...but again they have problems getting all that power down, I went to a recent rolling road where there was an IHI conversion Ibiza which ran 336BHP at the fly......that thing is scarey.....and would take on any scoob...

I know a of few lads that have IHI's your right about the problem with getting power down. one I have seen kicks about 300 plus ponys out on a rolling road. not bad for a little motor but what it could *actually* get to the floor in the *real world* is probably way below that , although it would seriously scare most larger motors out there

just keep an eye over your shoulder for little yellow things buzzing up behind you.. they have a habit of getting in front of you *very* rapidly...

lol....I know that from a standing start you will wipe the floor with me........
but my car comes into its own at about 40mph......many a larger car has been shocked to see me keep up or overtake.....all within legal speed limits though ...

With a few little tweaks they are a very quick car.....depends what you mean, quick or fast....like i say from a standing start they struggle to get the power straight down...but once its down they fly....with a very high top end speed to....
totally underestimated by far to many people, which is what makes them so much fun, a wolf in sheeps clothing....
I have just over 300lb/ft of torque as well!!
