Alfa Brera

Alfa Brera
Had a play with a new 3.2 Brera yesterday on the way home. They look gorgeous in the flesh, much better than they do in the magazines etc. There's always that special something about the styling of Italian cars, trouble is they always seem to be all show and no go. Now that the Italians seem to have their reliability sorted, hopefully we'll start to see a few more on the roads? What do you guys and gals think?

Brera - Dumpy piece of crap, doesn't go fast enough, doesn't handle and doesn't look that good either.
I do like the look of the new 159, but that's built for midgets. Looks fantastic, the wide arches and track give it a real aggressive presence, but there is bugger all headroom in them.

Reading up about it, it has 260ps from that 3.2 and the 0-60 of 6.8secs is not bad, just 5 years too late..... 1630kilos is a lot for a 2 door coupe to lug around, too. The benchmarks are moving alot quicker than Alfa Romeos design team, I reckon.

Secretly I have always liked Italian cars for their design flair and "look". In terms of an ownership prospect though, from what I've read (foul or fair) I could not own because of the simple fact they are a reliability nightmare...... unless you are extremely lucky!!
Taking the chance with one would drive me potty........although I do agree with JC that to be a true petrolhead you must own an Alfa at some point in your life.....I am hoping they become more reliable b4 I leave this planet
Mind u after all that, if u think u can prove me wrong....tell me the make and model and I will gladly reconsider..........
