Having shopped about for quotes for another Scoob, Im pretty sure I wont be getting one for the foreseable future !

Ive liked the look of the ST185 GT4 for ages but dont really know that much about them. I know we have a few owners on the board so pls furnish me with any info of interest, specifications, differences between import and UK car.

Ive driven both a GT4 import and a UK Carlos Sainz and to be honest, the Import was far and away the better car, maybe the CS was a bad one!

Finally, how well do they respond to tuning? Are they reliable with it?

Thanks for any advice or links to GT4 owners clubs.

Rgds

my girlfriends brother has just bought one. i went with him to have a look at it and bring it back.
IMHO, they are fab little cars. better built than a a scooby, electric seats with electric side adjusters, lumbar support, in fact its got everything! i was seriously impressed, made the inside of my r33 look VERY spartan.
goes quick too, although his is fairly standard, but will be getting a full decat exhaust soon.
handles nice, feels very safe and secure.
the car had 40k miles on the clock, hpi checked out fine, immaculate condition, and i mean immaculate!

how much? £3400....i think theyre an absolute bargain!
i was seriously impressed with it

Get yourself a back issue of Japenese Magazine they did a review of the GT4. I can't remember which issue number.

They rated it very highly, although make sure you use SUL or Optimax, Parts expensive etc.

Go for it.

Thats the thing, theyre just commanding so litle money these days.

I heard there is a switch to select octane, is that correct cos I dont want to be using SUL all the time again like I did with my WRX.

Am I right in thinking the Imports have AirCon etc as standard?

I sugest the best thing you can do is contact Jonny Milner :- jonny@jonnymilner.com.
he knows more about the GT4 than prob anybdy else in UK.

Before I got my scoob, I had an st205 modet GT4 & wasnt impressed with it. Paid 5K for it and then sold it after 2 weeks. They are very cheap at the moment. One sold for just short of 4grand out of the northwest trader in black with a high level spoiler!

Cool

RAZ,

you did well getting the st205 for 5k - must have been well knackered or a ****ty import! Probably why you didn't like it ;->

Being an owner of an st205 I'm impressed with its out the box 240bhp and 4 pot brakes, but each to their own - different driving styles perhaps.

Although for the sound of the flat 4 it was a tough decision between the scoob and the 4.
