Hi all,

A friend has a MY00 Citroen Saxo (I know, I know.... ) and has a problem with the remote central locking.

The plipper has fallen apart and she's now just using the key in the lock to get in the car. Thing is, on just using the key, the central locking has stopped working, so just the drivers door unlocks. Is this normal..? Being a blonde Doris, she can't remember if it was "centrally unlocking" with just the key before..!

So, any idea how much a new plipper would be, what she needs to provide the dealer with to order it (just the chassis no. maybe?) and why the central locking may have packed up...?

Central locking should work off the drivers door as well.

I had this happen to my saxo when i owned it, by memroy it cost me £140 because they had to order me a new fob and reprogramme the two keys to work with it.(i think the keys hold the immobiliser?)
