Toyo R888's 185/60 14 on 106 GTi
Last year I retired my 106 gti as my commuting work horse, so decided to strip everything out of it and just cage it and some bucket seats and a mild tune.
I have been running on Yokohama a539's in 185/55 14's (standard size) and i feel i'm still lacking outright grip although very happy with the overall handling of the car. I just checked out the price for all round track tyre like the R888 and it seems i can get a set of 4 for only £300 which to me seems like a bargin but they on come in 185/60 instead of 185/55's will there be a problem by going to 60's and also do you think this upgrade will be worth while.
Thanks

when I had my 106 GTi many moons ago I changed the wheels to a set of 15" Speedlines and ran 195/45 VR15 tyres, made a real improvement to grip & handling
might be worth picking up a cheap set of 15's for yours...

This may sound stupid, but chassis dynamics can be destroyed by excess grip... and small peugeots have a nasty habit of going upside-down if you don't let them slide just a little bit.

That makes sense as the back does like to slide round occasionally and can see too much grip being problem. hmm what other tyre options
