Default A nice surprise

Flew down to Heathrow this morning to get back into the rat race. Got to Hertz to pick up my hire car, booked a Focus and found this bad boy sitting in my rental slot..nice

mmmmmmmmmmmm 1.6 Focus or 3.2 V6 Alpha, close call but decided not to cause too much fuss and stuck with the Alpha

Actually feels quite well built and has a nice solid interior. I would expect a bit more grunt from the 3.2 but it is ok. Noise is ok but not spine tingling.

Headroom is poor and I am only 5'8.
Also there is zero legroom in the the back.

Other than that, I like it

Looks like Hertz have gone alpha mad, this week I will be mostly driving this:

Slightly different in the flesh, no air intakes on the rear arches. Those rims look like 20's, the one I had had 17's.

First taste of Alfa reliablity this morning. Car is weeks old and the fooking rear heated windscreen is fooked. At least we are in the middle of summer and have no need for such luxuries

And the Alfa GT's ignition doesn't work properly now grrrrrrrrrrr
