Default Best Car for first time buyer

Hi guys after putting it off for almost 5years now, i am going to learn how to drive!

So basically I need something cheap to buy, cheap to run and cheap to insure! any suggestions for a good wee motor for a 22year old would be very welcome!

Thanks guys!

Buy a cheap 1.3 fiesta for about 300-500 quid

should get you a half decent one - might only last 2 years tops but you probably will bump it - no pint in spending loads on a decent car 'cos if you prang it you'll be gutted.

cheap to run and insure and parts are cheap and plentiful.

good luck

Fiesta or Corsa.

Small engine so cheap to run and insure and they are easy to repair.

The recent Fiesta is a good steer too by all accounts.

In my day owning any car was a privilege.Didn't matter what it was.

Fiesta was the first thing that popped into my head though

I don't understand this. You're 22, you have almost 400 posts on Scoobynet already, it's almost an hour since you've confessed that you haven't even learned to drive at such a mature age, and no-one has called you a homosexual yet.

Site's full of feckin politically correct Guardian readers these days

Proves my theory that folks only appreciate style and taste after their 21st birthday

Yep, another vote for a Fiesta, I beleive the 1.25 engine is the one to go for, I know you arent that bothered about mad performance but it may as well be competent and enjoyable.
