New Car for £7k-£10k
On behalf of the GF who is looking to change her less than sporty car to something a little more respectable !! Previously owned an original Civic Type-R and now is hankering for a DC5-ITR.
I trust her enough to drive the Wagon and she is not your stereo-typical woman driver. But unfortunatly she currently has one of these....
Which is good fun to drive and i got pulled by plod once after they spotted me trying to scandinavian flick it thru a 90degree corner at about 20mph as it felt like it was about to go flat side up !!
Contenders so far :-
- DC5 ITR
- V6 Hyundai Coupe SE
- Mazda RX8
- Subaru
- Toyota Corolla T-Sport
I suggested a new Panda as ive heard they are great fun to drive, but got told on no uncertain terms to F%$& OFF !! LOL
Open for suggestions................................
Thanks

I think you'll struggle to get a decent DC5 for £10k no?
Same goes with the RX8 I think, aren't they still nearer £12k ?
Those would have been my suggestions tbh

Had not thought about S2K. mentioned earlier and she is worried if boot space was every going to be a problem.
Kindly offered the use of wagon if she ever needed to swap
Anybody got experience of the S2K ? obvious Honda build quality and reliability, she's a bit worried about the RWD chassis after being passenger in housemates MR2 in the wet on a number of occasions.

yup, I'm on my 2nd
boot space is fine but I guess it depends on what you're comparing it to.
keep revs down below 6k in the wet and ensure smooth throttle application and it's a pussycat.

Steer well clear of the Corolla, horrible car that doesn't feel any different to any other Corolla. You have to wring the neck of the engine to get it to go anywhere and it sounds awful too.

Disagree with that my mum has one and it has the full leather satnav screeen etc, Its fast and feels like a quality product like a mini lexus
