Bentley Continental GT?
Or are they just too "footballers wives"...?

Sub 35k now and awesome machines but I think tainted by the image.

Thoughts?

yep, pound a mile in depreciation, dread to think about fuel and servicing.
At least the last owners used it though.

Although, just thinking - 30+% after five years isn't bad
Golf GTi of similar age and miles would be low 20s I reckon.

How does it drive? Does it feel its weight?

The one linked has fairly trashed alloys.

How reliable? Presumably lots of electric glitches being VW/German?

They've got one on here with 40k on the clock.

Think I'd prefer a Mazzer personally..

There is one on the end of our road, I love them, Chav or footballer, whatever, still quite a vehicle, sod the image, just feel the quality.

Not sure if I would want one permanently, as it is a bit gauche but for a month or two, why not !

Anyway, i am no arbiter of taste, I dress like Clarkson !

I cant understand why people think of it as a chav car, is this because its popular ..... that usually tells me something a bit different

Anyway the car drives great, its 2400kg though & if cornering like your in a scooby then yes you can feel the weight, but for me its just a big gentle cruiser.

When i picked it up i took it straight to Bentley in Hamilton & got some warranty jobs done on it as its still got warranty for some reason until November this year although i dont know the reason why. They done some software download & its a bit more responsive as well.

I can honestly say i love it & the feeling of quality is immense. Its a 2nd car but still gets used the same as the RR Sport if i actually measured the time spent in both cars.

Edited to add that also its 0-60 time is sub 5 secs. I think i read that its 4.6 although i could be wrong & its also capable of nudging the 200mph barrier. I dont have the ***** to find out if this is the case though

I saw one getting booted whilst having a walk one night, sounded epic and I suspect left a wake vortex like a 747

I like the Cont-GT. But the thought of the running/servicing costs would just scare me silly. As said above. Rather have a 911 Turbo.
