Default Offered a BMW 328ci in p/x

Hey guys, weve been offered this in p/x, although i think the guy actually wants a straight swap. It looks tidy but is it overpriced?

The reason he told me is "I just fancy something else". Not really the best reason ive heard but then, it might just be an honest one, rather than the usual "Missus is pregnant, im buying a house, moving abroad, blah blah"

I think its a bit on the rich side to be honest. He seems to have one of those mystery "pistonheads" prices.
Reason for sale sounds genuine enough, I have swapped a few good cars in my past as I fancied a change, its easier than selling and buying, and all the hassle that goes along with it.

Six grand for a nine year old BMW 328 in the current climate - no way.

The mods only de-value the car, and limits its market. About a year ago I sold a 1999 E46 328I SE with sport front bumer and rear bumper spoiler with about 115K miles for £2500.

As said above top whack and don't stand a chance IMO.

That said have you looked at the price of WRX's recently and you can get a E46 M3 for 11K at the moment.

If your looking at a swap I would be wanting a 330 in exchange.

As a car though the 328 is great, and would be hard pushed to tell the difference in performance from a 330 even though on paper one is 192bbhp and the other 232bhp. The 328I's weak spot was its rear diff.

Looks like he selling it with the misconception that he can get his money back on mods that devalue the car!

Hopefully our WRX will have a new home, have accepted an offer on Ebay, but you know what ebay is like sometimes.
