Default I think I need a slap.

Just saw an ad for the new Laguna Coupe and thought it looked good.

Was I hallucinating?

<SLAP>

Never, never buy a Laguna, even the French steer well clear. Most end up as hire cars on the hard shoulder of the nearest Autoroute.

I always liked the look of the old Laguna (yes, I did say that). Still won't buy one though

Had 4 French cars, took that many before I learned my lesson. Each time I thought the next one would be ok.... Nope, all were lemons

(although they did drive well when they worked)

Looks like they tried to do an Aston but could't get the grille and headlights right. It's nothing special Hank.

Now if you'd said Megane Coupe, we could all shout hoorah and slap your cute derrier.

Richard.

Jeez, I would never actually buy one - eeurgh.

But fleetingly I thought - mmhh, nice looking car.

Ad agency certainly earned their money.

My mate has a Laguna, he recently started a private hire firm. I joked with him about using the Laguna and soon sobered up when he said he was.

I warned him and now 2 engines, 1 gearbox, 1 lot of rear suspension and a set of new brakes later he understands what I meant. 2005 car with 78K on btw.

As I said to him 'how many Lagunas have you seen as taxis?' LOL!

Not seen one in the flesh, but have to admit one had almost tempted me out of a car allowance and back into a company car. I should imagine the top range sporty model what ever that might be could be quite nice, especially if the company is taking the hit on depreciation and maintenance.

Nice looking car, and so is the new passat for that matter.

was behind one a few days ago gunning down the motorway. They look front the back like an Aston Martin that has been squeezed between the thighs of Jo Brand. Stupid looking thing or immitation.
