Default Focus ST prices

I didn't realise the prices STs are going for these days, today i past a garage that had an 06 plate orange Focus on the forecourt with a low mileage board in the screen for £8995.
At 1st i thought it was a ST replica but it was a proper 1 and also had aftermarket 19"s, etc

Prices are getting silly now aren't they?

Unless its a late '06 (nearer an '56) then its pretty much 3yrs old. So about 50% of the brand new price . When I was looking at these (before I drove one and didnt really get on with it) they had plenty on Ford website with very low miles 6 mths old ST2 for £15k or less.

Far to many cars for too few customers. Plus 20mpg makes them unattractive ATM.

at 8995 there must be something wrong with it as they're not that cheap, yet...

Thats probably right given that the trade in price for an 06 ST ranges from £7850 for an ST and £8420 for an ST3

mega cheap car now. I really want one but common sense tells me not to. Its not as quick as my 330d and only gets 20mpg but i really want one!! Dreamscience map and you have a properly quick car. Seems like a bit of a bargain beside the new RS. they arent as cheap as that in NI still around the £10500 mark.

Funny coincidence.... My current ride is a 330d sport and the wife's is an 07 ST3 and out of the two I'd chose the beemer every time.

The ST isn't as quick (doesn't feel as quick) as the figures would suggest, plus it spins the wheels like mad in anything but sticky dry tarmac. It doesn't put the power down very well IMHO.

The rear wheel drive huge torque wave of the 330d makes me smile every time. Stick with your BM mate
