Put a £100 deposit on one six months ago but have decided to go for a M3 instead.

Thought about it, £500 deposit didn't sound offensive... then the list price was rumoured to be c£27k and I decided that it was a bit excessive for a FWD Ford Focus... no doubt I'll read the reviews that will probably rave about the drive of it and there will be a pang of regret, however, sure you will be able to pick them up with a reasonable drop in value after 9-12 months.

Cheers,
Grant

I have to agree with you. I had thought of trading in my WRX for a new STi, but when the Subaru Stealership gave me a quote I nearly slapped them!

Think he meant he was ending up spending hi-ish £20's for an RS whereas a year old m3 is circa £35k, i know where my money would be going too and wouldn't be the blue oval imho
