Took one out today, with a torque of the devil conversion. For a FWD car it was brilliant. Massive amounts of power from the off, spun in 1st gear, then just grabbed in every gear. With a really balanced chassis and very direct steering. And a very well bolted together piece of kit. I must admit i was surprised, especially as i'm an AWD or RWD fan ONLY. Not converted, but still a superb car and all the hall marks of great fords of old. Welcome back to the blue oval.........But could we just have a RWD taster please.

So does it need a remap or just be improved by one. Does it also need stiffer, lower springs?

It doesn't need a remap but is more linear and doesn't feel as fast without it. TBH for £400 its worth it as it transforms the car into a weapon.

The suspension is fine as standard, really comfortable but still sporting ride, however if you are really making progress it does have a bit of body roll in the corners, but not as bad as my wife's Leon Cupra. The springs apparantly keep the ride as standard but the car sits lower making it look more purposeful and gets rid of the body roll. I've got my eibachs sitting here, just need to fit them!

ST defo needs a remap IMHO, turns it from a mildly quick hatch into an animal. It can be OK as std if you rev the nuts off it, but I much prefer the point & squirt nature of it now, not to mention the turbo boosting to 1.2 bar instead of 0.7

The Eibachs are excellent Neil, you will love them!!

Here's mine as it is now with the springs, albeit very dirty!!

Mine is also on Eibachs and they didn't take long to fit

As said above the car doesn benefit from a remap, it's quite smooth as standard so it doesn't feel that fast.

I found it rather "wheezy" until about 4k rpm, then the engine comes alive.

I agree Matt in STD form, but once remapped the difference is unreal!
