I do a lot of miles so it has to be economical(within reason).Have about £10-12,000 to spend.
Anyone any experience of either of these cars?

 

not the old shape Compact,its awful.A3 great "sensible" private purchase but dull.147 1.6 (120 bhp) is ace as is Leon.Second hand Golf GTPDI 130 far better bet than Compact if fuel is main concern and its cheaper than equiv A3.
