Before i start i better explain that it isnt a scoob.
My car is a sierra 1.8 GLX, when i start it from cold it coughs and mis-fires until the engine gets walm then its fine.
But ive changed everything, its had a full service ie. oil, oil filter, plugs, air filter and HT leads.
ANYONE HELP?

Hi!
Is it an auto choke? Prolly that that's messin up! Before you turn it over, push the throttle to the floor and realease it, once. This should engage the choke if it's not already on. Failing that, get a manual conversion for it, only a few quid from halfords or similar.
It might also be worth going round the dizzy cap, leads and plugs with some WD - 40, wonderfull stuff!!
Good luck!!

Tried cleaning some sensors?
e.g.
Air flow on the throttle body
Lambda sensor (if fitted)
Other temperature sensors
Probably caused by condensation rather than dirt, but worth checking.
Have you also checked the HT leads and around the coil?
P.S. I always use Silicon spray/oil for electrical connections...less flammable

Sorry. This will be on an injection car only.
Is it injection or Carbs?
I've had about 4 sapphires now and I've done quite a bit mechanically with them, but they were all 2.0 injections (except the current one....cozzy).
If it's a carb, then you might need to check the diaphram in the carb. It probably just needs a good clean.
I always used Carb and Choke cleaner on all my saphs as soon as I got them...in and around the throttle body to remove any carbon deposits.
