Didn't say if the Megane was fitted with the Cup chassis or not.

Still prefer the Ford myself though.

I hadn't seen an RS on the road until I was in Blackpool a few weeks back and saw two. Then yesterday I saw my third with a Playboy bunny sticker on the bumper What sort of people are buying them

Bruntingthorpe lap times:

Focus RS - 1.21.6
Megane R26.R - 1.20.70

Both are very very good lap times though.

Having said that, I've had the RS without any doubt.

My car got 1.22.7s..

Boo hoo...

Evo magazine (cant see it on the web yet), have had one on short term test - made some interesting comments this month how seems to be good ones and bad ones just like the previous model Focus RS. They seem to think that had a bad one, and also commented that the torque steer and wheel spin have not been eliminated either.

Compared to say a new Nissan 370Z with GT pack. 320bhp, RWD, and fancy synchro gear shift (blips the throttle on downshifts), then yes, the FRS is over priced. Unless you need to carry more than 2 people.

Same can be said for the new Golf R. Would hate to think what you can spec one of these up to? Seen a new Golf GTI specced to £27k.
