Perhaps someone can help but I have just been on the receiving end of a real spanking from some kind of Audi estate.

On driving home on M61, 3rd lane 70-75 ish in my My99 full decat Wagon with quickshift I was suddenly aware of the burning headlights of an Audi estate (saw the roof bars in my mirror) right up my ****.
So, trying to be a smart **** I droped to 3rd and flogged it, through 4th then 5th only to look in the mirror and find I had gained a big zero in difference.
When the speed got to much (ie Silly) I thought it better to pull in to the 2nd lane, where upon this Audi absolutely screemed past me, and I dont mean just managed to pull past, it absolutely left me standing.(I didnt ease of much after pulling in !)
But more than that, It carried on going, and going........ and going, God knows what speed it finally achieved but within a minite or so it was out of my sight, Gone....... long gone.
Im glad I backed of, cos I think the driver was some kind of nutter (150/160+)
Does anyone know what kind of Audi Estate that can have so much ummphh, and where I can get one !! Must it have "mods" or can you get one of the shelf ?

AUDI RS4 or possibly RS2, they can both kick ***, even as standard. Theres many 600+bhp examples of both models (mainly in scandinavia).

no doubt an rs4.
I think they have around 380 bhp, and are twin turbocharged.

A German Friend of mine has a RS4 and he sent me a picture of his speedo reading the equivalent of 180 mph on an autobahn....

AFAIK they are limited like most German cars to 155mph but it quite easy to get them derestricted. A very nice and fast car but damn it should be for that price. I guess a lot of people get them for that sheer "unknown" factor whereby a lot of boy racers see big fat estate in their mirrors and try to leave it and then look sheepish as they get totally destroyed.

Yup Audi RS4 alright! Very quick in a striaght line and despite being quite quick through the corners they are supposidly not much fun. Not that I'd know cause they cost £45k so I haven't driven one!!

Just posted on the other thread, but to repeat I have driven 2 RS4's today and the P1 and the Legacy are going as the RS4 is the best of both worlds. Also it does handle and the brakes more than capable.

I read an article in a VW tuner mag on an RS2 owned by a german tuner (digi-something or other). It had 19" wheels to cover the uprated brakes and 450+ bhp. Allegedly quicker than a 911 up to 196mph!!!

I used to have an Evo 6 RS and one of these Audis surprised me. It didnt keep up with me initially but when the speeds started to get a bit daft I backed off and let him pass.
