Replaced The Scooby With This......
I sold my white STI about 18 months ago and ordered a Focus RS about 6 months ago.I have had the RS for a couple of weeks now after loads of delays and thought I would stick a few pics up here.
My old STI
New RS Focus
Old and new RSs - the Escort Cossie is my cousins and is absolutely immaculate.
With my brothers modified Focus ST
And the three together.
I have to keep it sensible for the first 1000 miles so cant comment on how it compares to the Scooby but it will need to be really good as the Scooby was the best car I have ever had and was totally fault free.Couple of things I have noticed are the Focus feels really wide and the turning circle is not great.

There was only 5 of the MY05 blobeye STIs in white registered by Subaru and most of the owners used to post on here.I could have sold the car half a dozen times over and the boy who bought it has it stored away and it hardly ever comes out.

I love the RS, but would be concerned about leaving it anywhere, they are quite high profile are most people as you say quite into it and do you get many trying to race, sat on your boot ?

Focus RS + Bristol would = pain.
It was bad enough with a relatively "low key" Golf R32. So bad I had to sell it.
Not a problem now though.
Nice RS - I like them in white.

The RS has a much stronger delivery of the power the turbo comes in really strongly - the ST is more gradual but just keeps pulling and pulling. The noise the RS makes even standard is great loads of pops and bangs and a really nice growl from the exhaust.
The Focus has a lot to live up to I had three different Imprezas over 10 years and they were all totally fault free I think I only ever made one warranty claim on my UK300 and that was for warped discs. The Focus does seem to have had a few teething problems but hopefully being a late build my one wont have any trouble - having said that I was speaking to another lad who got a green RS the same week as me and he has lost the boost from the turbo and it is back at the dealers.

The ST has quite a few mods and is 270/280ish bhp - Dreamscience remap,CAIS,catback, lowered suspension, big intercooler and is pretty quick and there probably wont be a great deal between them. The ST is a great car even in standard form and is very easily and cheaply modded and definitely worth considering.

My Lass really likes the RS. Loves it in Green. Want to swap Girlfriends?
However, mine doesn't know about the 370Z.

TBH mate I wouldn't want it popping and banging when changing gear either. Each to their own I suppose though.
