Default fiesta rs turbo

always wanted one when they came out, now looking at them again, seen this, take it they are pretty good fun with this sort of spec and obviously no rust issues with a restored one. ie filler cap area etc. anyone had one?? http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/2161521.htm

I reckon that'd be a good investment, but only if you have a dry garage and dont run it in winter. Pretty rare due to the rust and could well go the same way as S1 Escorts price-wise, in time.

I had an RS1800 for a year a long time ago and would love it back now.

It'd be a shame if you were planning on running it everyday in all weathers IMO. Wont take long to ruin it.

ive had 2 xr2i's, one 8v and one 16v, and an rs1800. I love this shape fiesta and always wanted a turbo. Only reason i didnt get one was because i bought my first impreza. The only fault with them is the handling tbh compared to other hot hatches of the time. That one in the pistonheads advert is stunning imho. But it is top money as well but they are becoming rare.

I looked into getting one a few years ago. Had an urge, as I'd always fancied one.

At the time it was impossible to find one that hadn't been Chaved, so didn't bother.

I wanted a Brand new RS1800 many years ago, just a production was coming to an end. The Insurance was a joke though, so again didn't bother.

I had a RS 1800i Fiesta good fun cars to own/drive, funny enough it had a bad patch of rust around the filler cap as well which was a pity as the rest of the car was immaculate.
