Default What car to buy?

I've had a Focus ST3 for a couple of years and it has been a 'bad luck' car. I know such things supposedly do not exist, but I've hit badgers (!), potholes, had to change to tyres infinite amount of times because of this, steering went (Ford fault) etc... After having a Supra for 10 years (120,000 miles) with hardly any problems.

Anyway, I don't really see any cars that inspire me at the moment. Subaru is too expensive for what it is (£32K for the new one!), I don't want another ST and can't afford the Nissan GT-R. The Civic Type-R looks great, but drives horribly. You have to rev it to hell to get it to do anything and I'm too old

Any suggestions?

Steve

Bmw E60 M5 (used).....if you can afford the running cost, all the comfort in the world with the performance to match, a real bargain at the mom as well

If you don't need more than 2 seats, I'd recommend a Nissan 370Z.

Bags of character, rear wheel drive, big N/A V6. The boot if very usable too, compared to the 350Z.

Plus there's not many around (only seen 1 in the year I've owned mine) and they always get nice comments at the petrol pump/carpark.

No, no. We concluded that any car that `you` were sat in, became a "Gayhers" car at that point in time. Once you got out of the car, it then just became a car again.

Hope I cleared that up for you.

BMW 3 of some sort. Fairly reliable, great all rounder, nice to drive, sensible running costs, decent service, wide choice of trim, engine and body styles.

Golf, Scirocco, Audi TT, 3 series coupe? All good to own and well built - possibly a bit boring though...

That's why there's only one in Darlington, you're the only gayher in the village.

I want to spent ~£20K (less preferably!) and I need a back seat (not four doors though).

E92 (coupe) 335i or 335d? Fast, comfortable, pretty stylish, well made.

Agree, a well specced higher powered 3 series coupe if you can get one in your budget.

Not sure if you're still looking but can recommend the R26.

Quick across country (caries it's speed very well) carries 4 adults comfortably, reasonably economical, etc.......

PM me if you have any Q,s or have a look on meganesport.net
