The dry performance doesn't surprise me, interesting to see how average the GTR is in the wet which is what I've always felt, 0.6g is about your lot. I think an Evo on Michelin PS2 would have topped that whole table in the wet, as would some Subarus on suitable tyres. 1M is good in the wet!

"Other notable performances came from the BMW which was agruably the best all rounder of the lot"

A little shocked/disappointed by the wet weather performance, but I doubt it will see that many wet days. Brilliant result for the GTR!!!

Renault results seem pretty impressive as well...

Agree with you John, GTR takes some mastering in the wet in comparison to my old IX which i had confidence with in the wet.

GT3 very impressive grip levels in the dry, but then i guess that is exactly what the car is designed to do....it does it well

Car weighs a fair bit, wide Dunlops have shall we say less than optimum water displacing ability, all going to go against you...... i always switch down a map or 2 if it is sodding wet, the car develops so much low down torque, when you boot it you just either spin up or if you have VDC on then it just kills you dead...can be fun, but it certainly isnt fastest method

Not that surprising really, once you think about it... but still a great result, especially in the dry!

Wait a second hasn't anyone ever bothered to put better wet weather tyres (like maybe Goodyear F1's) on a GTR? Strange? Or is the electronic 4WD system itself a bit inconsistent? J

I may be very wrong here and end up with egg on my face but I thought the GTR had to run tyres with very stiff tyre walls to stop them peeling off the rims due to the excessive cornering forces?

I can't help but think if the GTR lost a few hundred kg it would be a clear winner. ok it won by 1 point but it only won one of the tests out right an who here does a full standing start all the time? i've never done it in my car in four years. I don't think it would suffer from a diet.

Don't get me wrong out of the two cars if i could afford any i would probably end up in the Nissan as for me i prefer the more agressive styling. but for me the GT3 is still the better car.

I have not heard of anyone trying a wet weather biased tire on the GT_R I would have thought that someone would actually want to use such tires- after all this car is mostly for road car driving on like real roads! j

In the dry it blew the other cars away

Apart from the GT3 beating it on 5/6 of the dry tests of course
