Mazda3 Sport
Thinking of selling my bugeye to free up a bit of cash and really like the look of the Mazda3 sport.
Now I've not had a test-drive in one yet and I know it won't be as quick as a scoob but I just wanted to know if any of you guys have ever had one and if they are any good?
Anything to look for when shopping for one, faults, pros/cons etc

I had one as a haire car in 2007 when the Scoob was being repaired. 150bhp from the 2 litre engine. Had nothing till about 4-5k revs. Ignore the redline, it easily revs WAY over that, past 8000 I had
Decent handling but far too easy to spin the front wheels everytime you set off, didn't fathom the traction control and other associated gadgets out.
But a nice place to be (for a jap car) and a reallllly loooong clutch pedal. Can't remember MPG's but being an abused hire car it wasn't high LOL.

Can't comment on the 3 but I bought ny mum the 2, we viewed and test drove a polo, fiesta, jazz, corsa and out of the lot she preceded the drive, seating position and support. When pricing it up the sport comes with auto lights, wipers, parking sensors etc as standard for 13k where the base model of similar engine size were near 15k then once the toys were added the Mazda was much cheaper then the rest. I drove it to day on a 2 hour one way trip then back again 3 hours later and I couldn't really fault it.
Hope that is a little help

Nice cars. Hardly any faults with em My dad was gonna buy then he test drove the Corolla T-Sport and got that instead.
Cracking car for the money. 189bhp vvti engine. Like the Honda Vtec. They even do a Compressor version. 217bhp I think.

I never really paid attention to Mazda before but the Mrs has just got the Mazda 6 Sport Estate. I was blown away by it.
Handles superbly for a big car and is the mostwell balanced car I have ever driven.
If that's anything to go by the 3 will be equally as good. I do like the new Mazda 3 MPS too
