Who's got a MINI and what TYRES??
My Mrs has a mini which needs new tyres, the question is what to go for? It has run flats on at the moment but does it need to have these on or cna you just put normal reinforced tyres on?
Thanks

Hiya,
My Mrs has a MY05 Mini JCWorks running 18'' JCW wheels.
It came with the OE Dunlop SST runflats, but i've changed her over to Falcon 452's.
The difference is night & day, feel & handling is loads better.
She just carries a couple of tins of Holts Tyreweld in the boot!

I know what you mean, the mini is very firm/crashy on the runflats!
Nope, although only certain tyre fitters will repair a puncture after Tyreweld has been used.
The green gel from the Tyreweld has to be washed out, then the puncture (if within guidelines) can be fixed.
I think Holts advertise certain companies that will repair, maybe ATS or National Tyres..

you can fit normal tyres as lots of my customers have andthe feedback from them is that the ride improves and so did handling
as for the no spare thing, buy a can of tyre weld and a good pump (one that plugs into cigarette lighter socket ) if you do get a flat you can pump the tyre up with enough time to get to the nearest garage , most GOOD tyre dealers will repair the tyre even if the tyre weld has been put in , its easily washed out
