Thumbs up

A few build quality issues but nothing serious. Turbo version due out in a few weeks.
That sounds like fun!

Anyone seriously looked at getting one of these? Apart from the badge, I've driven one on track and it was pretty good fun.

Thinking of a fun weekend car and reckon should be some bargain low mileage vx220s around as they seem stuck in dealers!

cheers,

greg

One of my neighbours has just bought an Opel Speedster (the European version of the VX220) and seems really happy with it.

Apparently it came from Trade Sales in Slough. They have a VX220 in stock at £18999, and a Speedster for (bizarrely) a grand more at £19999.

Andy.

Worth paying more for the speedster - I have heard they will provide this for uk price. Worth haggling they have only sold about 500 cars according to my man at Hethel

A few build quality issues but nothing serious. Turbo version due out in a few weeks.

WORTH looking at imho - but test out a lotus elise at same time - a sorted S1 can be had for 14k - and its a LOTUS.

Question

Curious: why would you say the import is worth more?

Bagded as an Opel Speedster - less brand association with griff rhys jones oin his under pants !!!

more seriously - redesigned front end - doesn't have the stupid looking V nose - has a softer straight line front. looks better.

vauxhall are doing a good 0% finance offer on the vx220

can mean they arren't shiftin many or will be discontinuing the model, i think it'll most likely b not sold any.

would have gone for one, very tempted indeed, but i need a more practical car i.e. roof n four seats!!!!!!!!!!
