Think I will get slated for this one!!
Hi all. Not posted for a while as sold my blobeye a while ago but do still come on and keep in touch with the scooby world as I am looking for another but am I am in No rush at all and I really want a nice classic, might have to wait a year, as you regulars will know had a knock in my blobeye, thank goodness I have protected no claims but still went up.
Well here I go
I have had my runaround over 6 months now and it has had a few mods and a remap to 120 bhp and still does 50 mpg ish. Great when doing 25k a year, well latest mods on, what do you think?
Any comments and questions welcome.

Lol maybe?
But that won't hold the road like my roadie and won't do 0 to 60 in about 7.5 sec like my roadie. You really would not believe how much fun it is to drive.
But I still lust for another scooby

not my cup of tea but at least its rear wheel drive.
i have actually driven one and its a fun little car but the crap gearbox ruined it a little.
7.5 secs to 60
down a large hill maybe
as its 70 bhp and 0-60 in 16.5 secs standard
thats some remap to nearly double the power and half the 0-60 times and zero effect on mpg
the brabus roadster only managed to get to 60 in 9.8 secs

Ok, to answer that. It's a 80 bhp car as standard and a Brabus one is 100 bhp car as standard because it has a bigger turbo. I have a Brabus turbo fitted and a few other bits and pieces along with a remap. I went for the 120 remap as it is better and saver for the turbo, engine and gearbox. You can have a 135 ish remap but that has been said to have reliability problems.
As for the gearbox, yup your right. It's pretty poor but the remap has speed up the gear changes and because of the remap you can now hit 60 with less gear changes which helps a lot in the zero to 60 times. And never drive it in auto mode! Then the gearbox is 100 times worse as it always seems to be in The wrong gear at the wrong time.
Once you start to look forward and drive properly as of course you always should, and once you are used to it, I have no problems with the gearbox.
So about 160 bhp per tonne

i doubt one would get to 60 in under 10 secs.
they tune them and use a company called red dot racing.
it may be faster than standard but your figures are a little made up

^^ My question too. Do kids of today think an association with Monster energy drinks is cool? Or what's your reason for plastering it all over the car?

Not at all. Don't know where your figers come from but standard 0 to 60 times are about 11 to 12 sec, not 16.
As for my time that I quoted, that is for my car, best time is 7.64 and a average of just over 8 sec of 10 runs.

Look, I'm not saying its the best car in the world. No way!
It's just a fun car that I have added a few mods to and love driving.
It hold the road really well and performs brilliantly for a 3 cylinder 700 cc turbo.
Just though I would share as I miss my scooby and love this sight and like I said, I have not posted in a while but always come on here to have a read.

they do handle really good i thought though and fun in the wet as the rear wheel drive is great.
if only it was a manual.
you may be correct but i seriously doubt the 0-60 times.

I had some grey haired, absolute tw@ in a silver one of these weaving through 3 lines of traffic approaching me (made it difficult to pull into slow lane coz I didn't know if the fool was going to undertake me or not!) then carried on doing the same once he overtook me.
He had a "Smart ****" sticker on the glass centre section and I've never wanted to drive my work van into something as much as I wanted to with this clown!!
The fact he was driving one of these increased my hatred towards him, pretending he was driving a sports car!
Lol so I guess you could say I'm not a fan!

How did you go about getting a sponsorship deal with all them manufacturers on a daily driver and if you don't mind me asking, how much do they pay you to advertise their product?

No, but I should I think
And everyone is entitled to a opinion tubbytommy, but it's true.
Maybe one day I can show you, and this is no joke, it might add a sec on to the time with you as a passenger, because believe me, in this little thing every bit of weight saving helps.

So why the free advertising for Monster?
You like the colour scheme?
You think it makes it go faster?
You think the girls see it as cool?
Just want to understand as i see these graphics quite a lot, seemingly all on black Nissan Patrols so i'm just curious why you've done it?
