RENAULT CLIO 2.0 16V RENAULTSPORT 197 CUP
Chaps.
Anyone have any experience of the above, good or bad? Daily runner has given up the ghost so I need to get something else. Now that I work from home my mileage has come crashing down (was doing 35k miles a year!) so a diesel is no longer fundamental in my decision.
This looks ok for example:

Cheers, TX.

I have one I bought as a fun car , and to do some track days , mine has the Recaro's and the bolsters wear through , mine have but is an easy fix , and the mapping is crap , it kangaroo's like an idiot when its cold , and doesn't run too cleanly when its hot , apparently a live remap will sort it out , I got a superchips generic map and it still does it.
Its a very good handling car , mine is a cup , and handles very well , brakes are very good , just needs the go to match , they are quite gutless and needs reving to get it to move

I had one. For about 12 months in total and I couldn't wait to sell it.
I went through 2 gearboxes in this time, had lots of warranty work done on the exhaust/undertrays and as mentioned above, the base map is poor.
As a package it is OK - but I would look at a facelift variant if you can.
The chassis is superb at handling - as fun as my Mini but invest in some brakes and some coilovers to finish it off.
