I bought this for my wife as a runabout while we replaced her car with the intention of turning it into a track toy afterwards. I have since decided to spend the money on the scoob instead so she is up for sale.
1994 "L" Reg Mk3 Volkswagon Golf GTI 8v in red
Good points:
118000 miles with full service history every 10000 miles.
I replaced the water temp sensor and the dipstick guide when i got it other than that its been no trouble.
5 months tax and current MOT (i'll check how long later)
Lowered on Spax springs
Plenty of tread on tyres, 2 are brand new
Smoked rear lights (maybe thats a bad point?)
Interior is in great condition for its age
Alarm/immobilser/central locking with both key fobs
Bad points:
The kind of niggles you would expect from a 17 year old car like:
passenger electric window switch is a bit temperamental
a couple of small spots of rust starting to show but nothing serious
no rear wiper blade
laquer peeling on one of the doors
tailgate has been re-sprayed at some point but not to a great standard so is a slightly different shade of red
It is what it is: a nice little £500 runabout with some poke.
I'll get some pics up later tonight

I haven't driven it a lot so its hard to say but it should do 35-40mpg if your right foot isn't too heavy.
I'm planning to stick it on ebay by the end of the week as i can't afford to insure 3 cars so anyone interested let me know asap.

yeah its on a couple of gti forums. Its a solid runner tho it'd be a shame to strip it down.
I'm sure it'll sell if it wasn't for ebay timewasters.
If someone offered me £425 i'd let it go.
