Default 1998 EVO V--Imported from Japan

Hey thanks for viewing my sale ad!

++++The Story++++

To start off a little history aboutmyself and my car history, my first car into this world was a 2011 WRX back inthe states. When I found out I had a chance to come over-seas to work, I soldthe car after only a year of ownership, to be able to find something over here.

Comingfrom a Subaru, I was dead-set on another..so I bought a 2002 STI. Was lovingevery minute of it, then a buddy back in the states talked me into maybe tryingan evo. At the time, I had a friend who had always wanted a bug-eye. So hebought the STI off me and I found this EVO 5. Now, I’ve had my fun with theevo.. I can say I’ve tried both sides, but for me? I think a Subaru is more mystyle.

+++++The Actual Car+++++

It’s a 1998 Evo 5 imported from Japan in 1999, from what Ican tell from the papers.

Mileage-clock reads 50,000, but have paperwork stating someis in K/m, so actual mileage is around 47k.

The underside is immaculate. can post pictures if asked for, it is ready to be under sealed (possibly could have this done for the buyerdepending on time/etc).

Engine- when I bought the car, the previous owner said thatthe owner before him had sourced a complete engine from an EVO 7. The enginenumbers and turbo match up, the engine has just a touch over 30k miles on it.Other than that, there is an HKS BOV/HKS induction kit. The car is de-cattedwith receipts for Scorpion exhaust. The car runs faultlessly, no ticks..etc.

Tires/Wheels-fully refurbished OZ racing alloys. Refurbishedin gloss black. With 4 brand new tires.

Interior- is in really great condition for a 14 year old..nothing I can fault it for. Besides a slow seatbelt roller.

Exterior- the paint is in great condition, if you reallywant to get nit-picky the front has a few stone chips. No rust what-so-ever.

Brakes- brand new brake pads all the way around. The front’sjust got brand new Stop Tech slotted rotors with Kevlar pads. Stops on adime. Again getting into it? Thecalipers could do with a re-furbish.

Security- has a tracker fitted, not sure on brand..etc. itworks very well. At the same time though, it makes it a bit frustratingsometimes lol.

Paperwork- I have a folder FULL of receipts dating back to1999, all old tax discs/ mot’s. the car has tax until march 2013/ Mot until November2013.

So this is all to the best of my knowledge, I encouragepeople to come look at it.

Ultimately, I’m looking for a P/X for a 2001-2003 STI ingood spec, or possibly a 1k runabout(pref diesel) Again, negotiable.

NO test drives UNLESS proof of insurance.. I’ll give rides.Roundabouts, pulls, anything you want..etc.

Alright, for all of this, I’m asking for £5,850ONO.. I don’t mind negotiating, but PLEASE, no silly offers. if your truly interested? send a text to my cell- 07788319901

theres not really much difference IMO, petrol is about the same/insurane also(for me anyways) just after owning both back to back? me and the wife think the subaru better suits us. and thanks!

going to leave it on this site for a bit..and gradually add it to others i suppose. not in any hurry to sell, just seeing what comes up.

thanks for the compliment's, and sadly no print outs with the paperwork i have.

i'm going to leave it up here for 1-2 weeks then slowly move it to other places to sell. i bought it off a member of MLR.

but only leaving it here because i'm hoping a scooby member has a bugeye sti and willing to trade. and depending on spec, i could put money towards it.

No mention of a remap..........so if its not had one, with just a decat and air filter I'd expect 270-290

Remapped they can do 330-350 with same mods + plugs and walbro.

Seems a decent example bud. If you really want to sell it, stick it on the MLR.

Thanks! been away from the computer for a bit.

Kezzo is right, i have no proof in the paperwork for a remap. so i can't say either way.

as for the car itself? i believe i'm working a deal right now for a 89 R32 GTR. ill update this accordingly if it goes.
