Your phone doesn't contain some sort of alien technology so if yours is the same size as another and your battery is bigger something has been reduced to make way for it and that has it's own problems or every other device would have empty space and they don't.

I'm guessing wireless charging can't go as quick anyway. How fast does it charge wired?

50 percent in 30 minutes.

dpb 10 October 2017 02:11 PM

Does apple persist with low res screens cheap display because they figured richer and older people wont be able tell the difference anyway ?

Well that’s just great , unboxed this morning trimmed the quad lock case to fit nicely ,backed up the 6s before removing sim & resetting to default . Put the sim in the 8 , installed my apple profile & account ✅
Then .. phone won’t software download factory is iOS 11, error unable to download wtf
Tried a soft reset , no diff , tried a hard reset it won’t function . Took sim out & tried whole process again : no joy . Contacted EE , 5 mins later , your phone is faulty sir we will have a new one sent out first thing . Great / app the good customer service but pi$$ed off all the same , so here it is waiting to get picked up after not 1 minute of use

Faulty out of the box , wow !

Better now than find out after 9 months ...

jazzyjembreaze 10 October 2017 03:39 PM

Not quite sure what to say really
It won’t software update through wi fi or plugged into iTunes & the reset home button does not function correct , having to press numerous times , few other glitches along the set up way this morning also / as I said , dumbstruck!!!!

jazzyjembreaze 10 October 2017 05:59 PM

Quick update / although a new phone has been confirmed for tomorrow I thought just in case I was mentally retarded or hit with a stupid stick I decided to go to car phone warehouse along the road where I originally took out my 6S contract .
The guy there confirmed , its fubar , he said that’s a first ha ha , not for me m8 , bad luck follows me around , cldnt make it up .. oh well ,nice of EE to jump on the ball & sort me in 24 hrs . X

dpb 10 October 2017 06:38 PM

I guess there's a slim chance he's telling the truth

( the carphone warehouse geezer )

JackClark 10 October 2017 08:02 PM

LOL.

dpb 10 October 2017 11:51 PM

How is it a brand new phone is Fubared !

Sounds like software doesn't it ?

jazzyjembreaze 11 October 2017 12:18 AM

I re installed the 6s after & iOS 11.2 downloaded no probs .
Also the 8 would not switch off doing a reset , the 8 also has a second reset press up vol , down vol hold home button on doing that it enabled the emergency call feature ( connects to the emergency services & counts down with a siren 3,2,1 whilst flashing red . Yea on doing that I’d pretty much say it’s lost a few marbles inside

Not impossible at all, remember how you haters are always telling me that parts of it are made by Samsung, that.

dpb 11 October 2017 08:47 AM

11.2.0 Was specifically for iPhone 8

and " Coincidentally " ruined signal acquisition for my 6s

It isn't Apple's fault as they outsource all that technical stuff to a sweat shop in China, so if you need to blame anyone then blame the Chinese kids on a pound a day for screwing up :D

Technical stuff in a sweatshop? Hardly, they lick the screens super smooth in the sweatshop with a final polish on bare chests. Pound a day, luxury!

Yea that's a valid point, bloody inexperienced pauper kids.

Donald’s going to bring those jobs back to America,

jazzyjembreaze 11 October 2017 09:25 PM

Donald will end up buying apple when he goes back to corporate....
Because he won’t see his time out as Uncle Sam that’s for sure ...

dpb 11 October 2017 10:19 PM

He'll get a knock down price

Donald’s a Fandroid.

How’s your phone? Mine’s been excellent so far, such a great upgrade from the 6 and I suspect the pinnacle of its kind. I’m both very used to it and pleasantly surprised by it, iOS 11 is helping in that regard.

dpb 11 October 2017 10:31 PM

I just hope he's written it off , for his own sanity

jazzyjembreaze 12 October 2017 02:05 AM

New replacement arrived didn’t get in till late , not long set it up , used the phone / phone set up option no probs at all . Software I noticed was up to iOS 11.3./ was 11.2 2 days ago so must be a quick bug or 2 fix
All is good
