Kev, are the best (quality/performance) T.S. headers/uppipe, the JDM Blob OEM items? Is the JDM Hawk and Hatch T.S. too - if so, are their headers/uppipe any better?

Or are there any aftermarket ones just as good or better?

I have aftermarket headers, Kakumei, i believe. OEM might be better, but here is dyno chart about them with VF36, if you are interested to look.
(AVC-R setting is not very good))
5th gear, weather: maybe 5 degrees celsius.

Sorry about offtopic.

Edit. 2.0 engine, AVCS stock setting.

Hi,

we dropped the GT33 billet as it never worked properly on a scoob.

Gt 30 Billet will work very well on a 2.1, that's what we run on our drag car. :D

Attachment 53324

it is on E85 though. :thumb:

Cheers

Jolly Green Monster 15 November 2011 09:02 PM

The 30 billet works very well on 2.1, 2.3 etc :)

Ciaran 15 November 2011 09:58 PM

Thats an impressive figure I was hoping for the right side of 500 with a billet GT30 on my 2.1 v power +30% methanol. Should manage that i would think :)

Hi,

the heads and cams are spec "C" ones. :thumb:

As I have stated many times before tests show that these are fantastic heads and cams straight out of the box, don't mess with them just fit and map. :D

cheers
Kev

must be amazing on the road, much difference in spool comparing dyno to real world driving?

TH3_5T1G 17 November 2011 12:16 PM

Are there many results of the GT35R billet on v power?

I know Clive's made 626 but wandering if there are many others?

Mike L did 700bhp on v power

Grant74 17 November 2011 01:55 PM

I have some Spec C twin scroll headers for sale in the for sale section, as that seemed a good section to put them in :)

Jolly Green Monster 17 November 2011 02:37 PM

Spool on the road is earlier and its prooving to be quite a handful on the road. Goes up hills nicely....:norty:

ScoobyDoo69 17 November 2011 03:19 PM

I had no idea you would be pushing THAT much power Hammer Man! Fair play! Very good result!

Must be handy being so local to APi too :D

joz8968 17 November 2011 03:49 PM

That's one helluva linear (smooth) power climb!

Shaun 17 November 2011 04:02 PM

Kev,
What lb wheel did you say was in the SC46 TS? ;)

Aren't the figures - BHP - (shall we say) a tad optimistic? :)

Hi,

46 lb Billet wheel, as its more aerodynamic than a standard wheel we know it will shift more air. :thumb:

The figures are higher than I expected but optimistic ? I am ever the optimist. :D

All dynos read differently as you are aware. :norty:

Please take this up with API its not been on my dyno, sure Dave will give you an answer. ;)

cheers
Kev

Never realised just how much the dynos can vary :wonder:

442 bhp @ the wheels on you dyno kev would be just over 550 bhp so why only a small gain to flywheel on api's ?

Cracking result either way,im sure oz is more curious now to see an sc46 ts or the sc42 ts on a 2.0l. :thumb:

stevemoir 17 November 2011 04:40 PM

How much do a set of used spec c heads go for nowadays

Steve

H4RDY-P1 17 November 2011 04:45 PM

There like hens teeth pal,the version 10 ones are the shnizel, they have the hottest cams.
