Nope, JDM big porters with the AVCS enabled controlled via the simtek:thumb:
I will be pushing the SC42 a little further come the 16th of this month,im fitting a bigger fuel pump and 930cc squirters and raising the boost back up,this will be a test for the STi 5 speed box for sure. |
After initially considering an SC46, we decided the 42 would be a better option for my car. 435bhp at just 1.45 bar with a splash of meths. On the road the car feels awesome and with the DV deleted scares pedestrians!:D There is scope for more power with a change of ECU but for now I'm enjoying the car too much to care. The quality of work and customer service from Kev and the lads was absolutely top notch. I can't recommend the lads highly enough.:thumb::thumb:

Any sign of the twin scroll 46`s yet guys? Hopeing to be fitting one over the christmas break. :)

Hi, twin scroll SC46 Billets on the shelf. :thumb: What cc is your engine as the SC46 billet twin scroll is recommended for bigger cc engines, the SC42 Billet twin scroll is more suited to a 2.0 ltr but again we are out of stock for a couple of weeks. ;) Popular little buggers these, last one was shipped to Tahiti yesterday. :D cheers Kev |

Hi, quick car on the road, very usable. :thumb: Glad you are happy, wait until its fitted with an after-market ecu so we can run some proper boost. :D cheers Kev |
Well mine was mapped yesterday, Need another tweek once its got a 3bar map sensor on it. Goes mentally quick, estimated to be around 480 with the meth but there is more to come once its got the new sensor Andy thinks, defiantly more scope for a bit more boost at least.
Need to get a roller session once we've sorted the catch can issue so it stops dripping oil. |
Yes! So it did make the lower end of my estimated bracket. ;)
With a bit more boost running the 3bar, near-500 will prob be on the cards, too. :D More importantly, is it everything you hoped for birchy? How does it compare to your previous 400+ odd? |

Mine is only a 2.0ltr JDM, But from what I can gather the 46 seems to spool more than adequately for what i`m after, hopefully the AVCS and a splash of meth should help keep the spool ok, and then i`m covered for the future, come engine build time.

Hi,
a few weeks ago we were to test the SC38 BB Billet, it only made a bar and would not go further, as stated in this thread. :wonder: The car it was fitted to was an unknown commodity therefore the SC38 BB billet was put on hold while we swapped it out to a 20 G from Andy Forrest supplied by the customer, work load has meant we only got back to it today. :thumb: The car did good, 380 BHP and 440ftlbs of torque proving beyond any doubt the new SC38 BB Billet is fit for room 101, it didnt work. :( Back to the drawing board. :brickwall Cheers Kev |

Hi,
they are £1295.00 but we need your old twin scroll exhaust housing back at the moment, if you have not got an old housing to exchange we have to charge £250.00 to cover it. :thumb: Whilst not an ideal situation it is about to get resolved as we have a new Twin scroll cast housing just about ready for testing, it will do away with the messy exchange business but will put the price up to around £1500.00. :) http://i694.photobucket.com/albums/v...ollhousing.jpg cheers Kev Whats the word on time frame for the Custom Twin Scroll Exhaust housing to begin testing? Also will ScoobyClinic be doing all the testing or will Blouch be handling the Initial testing and then be sending you guys some SC42 and SC46 TS for final testing? -John |

Mate its crazy! Accelerates just so fast, absolutely viscous coming on boost! Its a total transformation from 400 before. Just scrambles around trying to keep grip. Full boost is still below 4K, can drive it relaxed and if you feel the need just put your foot down, no need to drop right down the box, 4th just takes off from 40 and starts to bring in the boost and keeps going ......
I need to try and get a video or something of it and on the rollers as soon as. |

But what about the headers' flexi debris that got into the SC38 triple-B (see what I did ;))? Did you not manage to retest the 38 with everything all sorted again, to rule in/out whether that debris in the exh. housing caused its issues?
different car, the one with the debris was an SC36 Billet. :thumb: SC38 triple B, like it, just got to make it work now. :D cheers Kev |
D'oh! FAIL. :D
Of course of course. It's 'hard' to keep track of all the various 'stories'. (Well, it is for my tiny brain lol). :thumb: |

Hi there has anyone run an SC50 on a 2.5?
Would like to see the curves, can find plenty with the SC46. Would like to know if 500hp is acheivable on Vpower? Cheers Nij |

Cheers Nij Hi, we deleted the SC50 as there was no place for it anymore. :( SC46 Billet on a 2.5 is more than capable of over 460 BHP and we dont recommend running the 2.5 block over that figure. :thumb: We have seen 500 BHP out of an SC46 billet, hence the demise of the 50, it has no place in the range any more. cheers Kev |
Ok thanks Kev that makes it an easy choice then.
Do you stock SC46 billet or do they have to be ordered? Had been recomended keeping it just under 500hp after rebuild would you only recomend 460hp then? Is that 500hp with meth? |

Is that 500hp with meth? in stock ready to ship. :thumb: From our experience on track the 2.5 was fine at 450 BHP all season in 2007 time attack, for Silverstone we cranked one up to 475 BHP 3 laps in and two split liners. There are two schools of thought to why this happens, some say its the thin liners letting go, some say that the head gaskets fail due to the lack of support for the upper cylinders which allows coolant into the cylinder, it tries to compress it and splits the liner, whichever comes first, chicken or egg upshot is a split liner. :( However, we all know a fast road car never gets the pain a track car suffers so to be fair 500 on a road car may well be fine on the 2.5, we don't like to take the risk though and cap them at 460 BHP, that's a whole lot of power for a road car, it usually comes with 460 + ftlb's of torque thrown in for good measure. :D 500 BHP has been seen from an SC46 Billet with 20% meth or E85 fuel. ;) Hope the above answers more questions than it raises. cheers kev |

Nope still running the Nitride Crank on it which is meant to be stable to 450BHP. We'll see how long it lasts then it will go either 2.1 or 2.3 on it.
