Have to agree with the above comments, no pluses other than an away goal

Trout 30 March 2010 11:18 PM

With Rooney out what is the plan Saturday?

Shut up shop and lock Chelski out?

A draw would be a good result. I'd think a Chelsea win hands them the league as the GD would effectively give them 3 points advantage.

Fat Boy 31 March 2010 10:21 AM

Rooney looked off the pace and out of sorts all night - can't help but wonder if his knee issue is worse than they are letting on , even before whatever he's done to his ankle.

Poor performance all round really (feckin gary neville gets on my tits...) except perhaps VDS despite shipping two goals.

More_Boost 31 March 2010 03:31 PM

Rooney out upto two weeks, sprained ankle.

Gav 31 March 2010 03:34 PM

I dont think Rooney was off the pace. He was getting feck all service or help which made him look like he had a bad game! We were p!ss poor, thats all you can say. I think against Chelsea we should give Diouf or Macheda a go, at least they will give 100% to prove themselves:)

urban 01 April 2010 10:36 AM

Be nice to see Macheda get a chance

STi wanna Subaru 01 April 2010 10:57 AM

VDS

One of the twins, Rio, Vidic, Evra

I'd swap Scholes for Carrick, better balls into the box that will sh1t the life out of Terry :lol1:

A bad first half but looked a lot better in the second, some big decisions went against us at key times. That's football and we've benefited from a few ourselves. Well done Chelsea it's in your hands now.

Not over yet, not confident about the Spurs game

Funkii Munkii 03 April 2010 11:44 PM

Beaten by the better side on the day, no one stood out for United all looked jaded, a bit concerned for Wednesday now :(

urban 05 April 2010 03:35 PM

We'll lads - bad result alright.

We were poor by our normal standards sadly :(

You were only poor because of the opponents ;)

More_Boost 05 April 2010 07:43 PM

Yep bad result Chelski still have to go to Anfield and whiteheart lane,a few more twists and turns yet and a Visit to city for us ? Getting whispers that Rooney will start on the bench on Wednesday.

urban 05 April 2010 11:23 PM

I don't think he'll start on Wednesday - and even if he's fit I still don't think the should risk it
Keep him for the remainder of the premiership games
Fcuk the world cup too - in the nicest possible way :)
I reckon we can win on Wednesday too ;)

Funkii Munkii 06 April 2010 12:27 AM

LOL Anfield, if Liverpool cant beat Birmingham how are they going to beat a Chelsea team concentrating on the EPL. United wont get 6 points from Spurs and City either.

Done and dusted in my opinion, you win the league over a season and we have coughed and spluttered our way through this one with no real cohesion and lets add no team has ever won an EPL with 7 defeats, Chelsea deserve it over the season we would have been lucky winners had we squeezed it, shame as it would have been nice to take 4 on the spin and make history. Oh well we can start again next season :)

Bravo2zero_sps 06 April 2010 07:39 AM

I look at the table and think it's all over but then you have to look at the draws and losses Chelsea have had and no match is a guaranteed 3 points for Chelsea any more than it is for Arsenal or Utd. All 3 have had some ludicrous results this season in games you would take as a given 3 points. It's been a strange season in that respect (for us it's normal but not Utd and Chelsea).

Remind me how your lot got on at St. Andrews? :thumb:

2 games lost at Anfield in the Premiership this season, same as yours at OT - not that funny is it? :p

Mind you, I don't mind us rolling over at Anfield for the greater good :lol1:

urban 06 April 2010 11:51 AM

We'll I reckon Liverpool and Arsenal will do Chelsea over

STi wanna Subaru 06 April 2010 12:03 PM

Arsenal? they going too have a tear up on the training ground?

More_Boost 06 April 2010 01:16 PM

Well skysports just confirming what we already knew, that Rooney is ruled out of Wednesdays game with the sausage munchers.

DJ Dunk 06 April 2010 03:35 PM

I think he should risk him. I mean, what's the worst that could happen ;)

I would fully agree that Liverpool not qualifying for the CL is for the greater good, United will win a 19th title in the next few years IMO.

Man City not being in the CL has been a major hurdle for them and the players that they could sign, knowing they have CL football they will be able to attract the best and that's a worry for a United fan never mind Liverpool. It would be hard for Liverpool to gain that place back IMO.

Ideally Spurs will qualify and LIverpool will still have a chance of qualifying come the game with Chelsea.

1-1 just like yourselves, and we couldn't beat Chelsea :thumb:

Still we managed to beat Birmingham at home so it wasn't all that bad and our tilt at the Premiership is still going with 5 matches to play (albeit a very slim one), at least it wasn't over after the first 5 :thumb:
