Trial fitted the wheels over brakes today and they were fine.
http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y17/leecalcars/aq.jpg http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y17/leecalcars/aq1.jpg Then the car was picked up by grimsby auto electricians for a full rewire and to remove unwanted wiring and equipment. Should get the car back in 3 weeks or so ready for remap!!!!! http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y17/leecalcars/aq3.jpg http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y17/leecalcars/aq4.jpg |

My mate dave will be pleased as its been sat on his spare wrx rims for nearly a year! |

Nice. You might have already but are you going to be fitting a baffled sump to stop oil starvation?
|
yes mate cosworth baffled sump is a must and still searching ,maybe a cosworth baffled sump , i did purchase a replica wrc sump but needed some cash so had to sell it regret it now as i think it would have worked fine.
|
Having a mere !
Car still on trailor not even started rewiring yet even though its been gone nearly 2 weeks ! Secondly mocom racing not sent my fuel rails and that was 6weeks ago when i last paid for them ! |
Sucks dude, :(
Are the fuel rails only converted stock items? |
Yes mate sent them away to zak to be modified and tarted up paused for them and no sign of them even though he sent me an invoice and an email asto when il get them back and that's 3 weeks ago
|
Hope you get things sorted soon!
As for a sump - these look great: http://www.hyperflow.com.au/index.ph...yas-my9707s2ck I have a hyperflow top mount intercooler and would really like one of their sumps. If you were interested then we could maybe get a deal on a couple or see if anyone else would be interested in a group buy? Also, went up Blyton the other day to spectate - would be perfect for testing/setting yours up. |
Thats where im heading dan as soon as the car is ready dont know when !
|
this has to be the best build thread i ever seen. well done mate, not many people i seen on these forums stick with it.

cheers mate its been a roller coaster of a ride let me tell you not long to go now i hope !
|
looking forward to seeing the finished product.
|

then to enjoy it but i know it wont stop will only get better |
A few of you may remember when i made a template up from plastic to be cut out and drilled using checker plate for the co drivers foot plate well its all made and ready to fit turned out well i think

I make stuff like that at work, I also work from templates like that. Makes me laugh sometimes with the 'technical drawings/templates' people bring me, but its all about the finished product. Will look tidy that though.

Got my rails back this morning from mocom the earl fittings have been brazed on but the rails hadn't been plated so i masked them off and sprayed them myself to tidy them up a bit didnt turn out to bad.

Buying on sat mate with a few other bits .
|
just got back from Demon Tweeks i was like a kid in a sweet shop had to hold back the purse strings but got what i needed.
I must say very helpfull guys and to be honest it was overwhelming so much to choose from if only my numbers would come up ...! Anyhow got the Corbeau pro series drivers seat had to opt for the XL but fits perfect with a little to spare ,had to buy the side mounts seperate but couldn't understand why he was trying to sell me the OMP rails with corbeau seat but i noticed they blocked of part of the side eyelet for harness so quickly asked for the appropriate corbeau side mounts in alloy very light aswell. next i tried on a pair of sparco flat shoes but the size 9 was to tight and they never had any 10's in stock so will have to wait for those. Sabelt stage glove was my next purchase just wanted something light as my hands tend to sweat alot in the summer . I needed a Sytec fuel filter with An-6 fittings to complete the fuel setup which i also bought ,could have spent hours in there (we actually did 3 to be precise )they have a good premises very clean and organised i have wanted to got there for many years but never did so in all a great day out and a few more bits purchased for the car. http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y17...cars/seat1.jpg http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y17...cars/seat2.jpg http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y17...cars/seat3.jpg http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y17...cars/seat4.jpg http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y17...cars/seat5.jpg |
Worthwhile buying some cheap hose to mock up the parallel fuel system?
Looking good mate. :thumb: |
