Thats that then

http://www.skysports.com/story/0,195...176123,00.html

last week he said he would not be sold. This imo means he's gone 100% this summer

Bravo2zero_sps 28 May 2010 05:07 PM

I was thinking the same. So say they get £35m who will Wenger buy? A load of 17 year old no marks is my guess with the rest of the cash in the bank.

He couldn't stomach splashing £15m on Arshavin so how the hell is he going to replace Fabregas

Bye Cesc you SPLITTER, enjoy sitting on the bench at Barca watching your mates Iniesta and Xavi play ahead of you ;)

The robbing barst4ds are trying it on again  Over the odds? If he is that coveted as a top player then he is going to be expensive you fcukwit Spanish tw4ts.

Shame there is no one at Arsenal who has the boll0cks to hold Fabregas to his contract and say tough you aren't going anywhere.

Interersting words from Arsenal which I think they will be eating by the end of the Summer. I'd like to be proved wrong though and see Barca not get their man.

Barca and Real Madrid seem a law unto themselves in how they unsettle contracted players and UEFA and FIFA do absolutely nothing about it.

DaveBeck 02 June 2010 10:24 PM

First time ive seen Arsenal come out like that and talk transfers.

I think Barca may have shot themselves in the foot. If they were respectfull and did things behind closed doors then maybe they would of got their man for the 35m euros they wanted him for.

Now after all the bull**** in the press Arsenal are basically saying put your money where your mouth is. I think its a good move by Arsenal. Apparently they rate him at 82m Euros

Ive been researching the lad we are lining up. Gourcuff looks a great talent.

Also Cole on a free is interesting but i dont believe we will pay his wages

If Cesc goes, or more like when i hope 3 players are bought in minimum otherwise other players will be disillusioned

I like the way Arsenal are handling Barca though

STi wanna Subaru 03 June 2010 12:08 AM

ARSENAL ARE A SELLING CLUB..... sorry fellas just thought I'd spell it out to you. £40 mil will see the deal done. nice profit on somebody you stole.

Bravo2zero_sps 03 June 2010 10:38 AM

:lol1: @stole, you'll have to do better than that for a wind up.

I agree with you Dave the wages for Cole will stop him coming to us. If Spurs aren't getting him and it's between us and Utd then I guess he's heading North.

Wenger wants Gourcuff but at £21m Wenger will have a coronary paying out that for 1 player ;)

Tenby 03 June 2010 12:59 PM

wenger has point blank said fab wont be sold this season

Tenby 03 June 2010 12:59 PM

offical statement

shawn r 03 June 2010 02:11 PM

just read that myself on the arsenal website.

Bravo2zero_sps 03 June 2010 02:56 PM

"Arsenal captain Cesc Fabregas is under contract with the Club until the summer of 2015. He is a highly-valued member of the team and part of our future plans.

"We have followed recent speculation linking Cesc with a move away from the Club but as there has never been any official approach for him, only two informal exchanges, in which we made it abundantly clear that we have no interest in transferring Cesc, we have refrained from publicly passing comment. However, yesterday evening we received an offer from Barcelona for Cesc and in response, we immediately and resolutely told them once again that we have no intention of selling our captain.

"To be clear, we will not make any kind of counterproposal or enter into any discussion. Barcelona have publicly stated that they will respect our position and we expect that they will keep their word."
We shall see how this drags on as boll0cks will Barca honour their word. More unsettling to come especially during the World Cup with Xavi having specific instructions to get Fabregas to walk out on Arsenal.

We get all this nonsense every summer. Take last year: Fergie maybe didn't sell Real Madrid that virus as he correctly claimed, but he did sell them the best player in the world instead.

It's all b0llocks. Arsenal and Wenger will put on an indignant show for the press and fans, but everyone knows that Fabregas will be going back to Barcelona sooner or later. Arsenal might squeeze a couple of million more Euros or so out of Barcelona, but it won't change anything if the player wants to go anyway.

It's not as if our big clubs (including Arsenal) don't behave like that when attempting to sign players from smaller clubs either, so it's all a bit hypocritical to moan when the boot's on the other foot.

You can't blame top players for wanting to join the very top clubs in the world. Sadly Arsenal's tight purse-strings and lack of European Cup success mean that they are not one of them. It will be interesting to see how much of the transfer fee goes back on new signings and their wages (don't forget that Arsenal will also be saving 5 years of Fabregas salary). I bet it won't be more than two-thirds gets reinvested.

Bravo2zero_sps 20 July 2010 11:11 AM

They still don't get it do they?

http://www.skysports.com/story/0,195...270972,00.html

Barca and Real are the 2 most arrogant clubs on the planet when it comes to unsettling players and FIFA do nothing to stop it. Time contract law was actually rubbed in their faces and told to fcuk off.

DaveBeck 20 July 2010 01:20 PM

Looks like Eduardo is off as well. never saw that one coming this season. Tackle wrecked his career with us

Bravo2zero_sps 20 July 2010 01:30 PM

You got a link? Not seen that news.

DaveBeck 20 July 2010 01:51 PM

On skysports news. Not sure if its on web page yet

6m back to Croatia

Bravo2zero_sps 20 July 2010 05:11 PM

Yeah up there now eventually

http://www.skysports.com/story/0,195...271452,00.html

I think he needs to move to another club to move on from his injury. Wenger better be signing some more players as the 2 we have so far is not enough.

We've lost Campbell, Silvestre, Gallas and Senderos and he's bought one defender in Koscielny  Chamakh he got on a free so once again hardly any expenditure so far this Summer after saing there was a big kitty for new arrivals. He couldn't even sign Cole on a free and we all know why that is, wouldn't pay him enough as usual.

At the moment there is no hope for next season so unless he buys another couple of players it will be another trophyless season before its even started. No wonder Fabregas wants out, what player with any ambition wouldn't?

pauld37 20 July 2010 05:18 PM

Surprised Gallas has gone

DaveBeck 20 July 2010 05:28 PM

Signing for a greek side for 25k a week i read. Im sure he has been offered that at Arsenal

Bravo2zero_sps 20 July 2010 08:49 PM

He probably was but I bet he is getting at least a 2 year contract where as Arsenal will only offer 1 year contracts once above 30 which is another thing that puts off senior players.

DaveBeck 20 July 2010 09:15 PM

I know what your saying mate, but After next season when his legs have gone for the prem league (although he looked shot at WC, injury im guessing) the Italians would snap him up. Look at the average age over there. Then MLS and minted.

I think he causes a bit of dis harmony in the dressing room so sort of glad he's going but we are losing a very experienced player.

Im seriously hoping Sol stays.

Bravo2zero_sps 20 July 2010 10:11 PM

Oh don't get me wromg i'm happy he is going as I agree he is the one trouble maker in the dressing room and it's his fault Toure left for City.

I hope Campbell stays too as we can't afford to lose 4 members of the defensive squad in one go.

DaveBeck 21 July 2010 10:26 AM

They dont get it do they lol

http://www.skysports.com/story/0,195...272250,00.html

We all know he will go. but next season. If Arsenal say no then they cant force them to sell.

Looks like Djourou fit again. good defender when he isnt injured. No more than back up but that means we have 3 defenders now lol

Bravo2zero_sps 22 July 2010 10:49 AM

Absolute w4nkers.

"Arsenal need to understand they are only delaying the inevitable.

"If we don't manage to get his signature this season then Arsenal only really have him on loan for a year - because there is nothing they can do to stop him joining next summer.
What a tw4t, has he no idea what a contract is and what contract law is? I so wish there was someone at Arsenal who had the balls to wave the contact and say we are holding Fabregas to every last minute of it. I would if it was me and tell Barca, the president and all mouthy players to fcuk off.

Bravo2zero_sps 31 July 2010 12:39 PM

http://www.skysports.com/story/0,195...287672,00.html

I wouldn't bet on any more signings  If he doesn't make any more then we will finish out the top 4. We've lost all those defenders and he's bought 1 replacement in defence. Absolutely :cuckoo:

Come Christmas he will be bemoaning all the injuries and that explains the poor results

Same same old each and every season from Wenger :nono: :brickwall:brickwall:brickwall

Funkii Munkii 31 July 2010 10:33 PM

Could be worse, fergie is going the same way, he should remember the last time he took the same line and we were crap for 2.5 seasons, you have my empathy :thumb:
