It all depends what power your going for. I have been told by a couple of the good tuners (Bob Rawle, Any Forrest) that anything above 400hp and you need to go front mount. My last hawkeye top mount was struggling at 400hp from heat soak.
I have just bought the perrin front mount intercooler pipes from america, if you buy the pipes and core seperate you can get them much cheaper than the kits over here. I have had to go that way as I am looking for 550hp+.

The full black pipe kit with red joiners has cost me £380 delivered then I will get hit with about another £100 import tax.
The cores are a little more about £450 delievered then import tax. I have reckoned on £1050 for the full kit incl import tax, which is about £400 cheaper then I can get in the UK. But the perrin kits are not cheap, but they are very good. Had one fitted to my Hawkeye. |

Guys did subaru do fog lamp covers like on all the other models? And I'm guessing if they did there is no need to remove the actual bulbs as the covers are designed to fit over the top

Yes they do, but if I recall, the fog light mounting is moulded into the bumper insert you would change. http://homepage.ntlworld.com/donald.clark/MY11fogs.JPG Part numbers:- COVER-FOG (-EXC F-FOG) RH- 57731FG310## LH- 57731FG320## where ## is colour code or NN for non painted. |
Just a word of warning to anyone with the standard backboxes in place, when I removed mine to fit the H&S the original boxes had a fair amount of water swishing around in each, and after 2 weeks on the workbench in the garage it has not evaporated and no matter how much I shake them none comes out, I'd guess that had they still been fitted than in a year or so I'd have some nice rusty holes in the bottom, probably just after the warranty runs out!

Here you go mate, one of my planned summer mods, however if the fog comes out with the cover I may not bother, on my old hawk the fog mounting was on the bumper and the cover just blanked them off!
US cars seem to come standard without the fogs so most on here have the blanks. http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/show...01217&page=533 |

Cheers Don, fountain of knowledge. Unless I'm being stupid (probably am) I can't find an image on Google. Anyone got a pic of them fitted. Curious :norty:
You only have to look back to post#496 in this thread to see them :D:D https://i358.photobucket.com/albums/...ywr/004-10.jpg |

http://homepage.ntlworld.com/donald....%20bracket.JPG Outline of cover clearly shows. Was some time ago, but I seem to recall it was all one when I changed the fog light. |
I prefer the fogs rather than the blanks n the saloons

Ebay item has been revised with different P/P terms and no mention of duty paid :Suspiciou |
Damn, might be worth viewing the item number onto ebay.com
|
Some were quoting near£300 on top for import duties etc. so this maybe cheaper
