Jules Perry site seems to have decent dates on it as follows...

You could always try Hockenheim that is 2 hours or so south of the ring towards Stuttgart, they have open track days when there is no racing.

I know everyone wants to do the ring but IMHO it is not all it is cracked up to be, it looks nothing like the video games, ie it undulates lots and is a scary place, there WILL be people there in crap cars that know it better than you and will annoy you, you won't be able to use the racing line unless you are very lucky due to said idiots who know the track, it is expensive to drive on and you won't get the buzz out of it that you are expecting due to the fact that you won't be able to use the track as intended due to lack of ability and constantly looking behind you on bends and corners for crappy little golf etc who will beat you round the track no matter what you are driving.

Your best bet if you want a buzz is to chance your luck on the unrestricted autobahns round Germany you will get more brown trouser moments on them than you will on the ring! and you are insured on the autobahns if you crash:D plus the only thing you will need to worry about behind you are faster cars wanting to overtake you.

Absolutely right!

Well said ;)

Dave, he's right ;) The ring isn't that good as people say and doing an 8:00 BTG is the norm for any newbie after 5 laps so the challenge isn't there any more. The laps are expensive and so are the hotels (if you can find one). Do a UK track day and save yourself a packet.

I tend to agree with Floyd :thumb: No more ring trips for me now, sticking to good old Blighty tracks from now on :D

Yeah, and deffo no good for newbies. Go and do 110mph on the M1 (if you can) and leave the real fun to us! :thumb:
