To be perfectly honest I can't remember the last time someone asked if they could smoke inside the house.

I think someone asking me this nowadays would come as such a shock I'd probably just punch them ;).

Outside is fine for the smokers :).

If its pissing down and they can't go outside - They can wait :).

A smoker should never smoke in a non-smokers house. The stink it leaves, even the next day, is revolting.

Even though I'm a (soon to be ex) smoker, I would never smoke in a non-smokers house, even if they insisted it was OK.

no chance in mine, i also make the staff at work stand outside, even if its raining, when i first started cleaning up the site the office walls were just about tacky with yellow crap :(

it took neat alloy wheel cleaner and a jetwash to get the stuff off the tiles in the office :eek:

was horrible watching it "melt" and drip down onto the floor :freak3:

Same as myself and I go out into the cold to have one so they can too. Kids in the house aswell plus it turns the curtains and ceiling yellow. Filthy habbit.

I agree with all the comments about smoking inside someone's house. I have an old fashioned set of values and it just seems just as rude to ask someone to go outside for a smoke. That is how I was brought up and it is difficult to do different as far as I am concerned.

Where I used to work all the sales reps smoked in their company cars.

We engineers got together and decided that we were going to refuse to travel to sites with them as it was a health risk. The MD ended up buying us a pool car beacuse she didn't have the nerve to stop the sales chimps smoking.

One of them used to come over form the sales offices, light up a fag in our small, un-ventilated kitchen and leave it in there while he went to see the engineering manager:mad: He stopped after our secretary doused him from head to toe with a fire extinguisher whilst he was lighting up:D


Back on topic, MrsD says I'm rude making smoking guests go outside, but they wouldn't let me sh!t in there lounge, why should I let them pollute mine.

My Gran on my Mum's side used to smoke heavily, my Dad used to make her sit at the bottom of the garden in all weathers:)

It doesn't really bother me, however, Mrs Ritchie hates the filthy habbit.

I never used to mind when i smoked, but would standoutside for a fag when i needed one,

occasionally if the weather was sh*te i used to have the occasional one inside ;)


once i gave up i dont really mind eaither way, mind you saying that i dont know many smokers these day, but now that we have shortstop, it would be a no indoors
