Also what gauge pods are available as i have one of the ebay thingys but they are a really crap fit and i would recommend to stay well away from them!! I am after one that clips into the original mountings. How much do these guys do one of them for???

rbaz 30 June 2008 11:07 PM

At the moment I haven’t had a reply from Gaugeplace about the pods or the adaptors but they sell the adaptors on eBay at £32.99 Inc postage so that’s the max price.

I have been in touch with somebody else that can do the pods for the classics only
My93-97 it will be £59.50 including recorded delivery
My 98-00 it will be £47.50 including recorded delivery

http://i24.photobucket.com/albums/c40/rbaz/IMGP1509.jpg
That’s a pic of the MY98-00 pod still waiting for a better pic for the early one.

I think I will get a din slot for mine save damaging the dash :wonder:

If this screw in thing isn't ideal for Scoobys I will definitely go for the alternative!

try lma performance for the adaptors , you will probably get them to offer a discount , as nick from gauge place gets his from there , so you will cut the middleman out

am still only wanting 1 gauge if anyone needs just 2

bluenosewrx 01 July 2008 08:00 PM

I am interested in this if i can get a decent Dash pod and proper t piece adaptor etc as well.

For a 06 Hawkeye STi.

Mac

phil739 01 July 2008 08:06 PM

here is a picture of mine fitted ,

http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y26...9/DSCF0718.jpg

and a little video
if i can get it to work , they come with 4 wires , live , earth , amber and white wire , if you wire the white one up to live and then the amber one to a live switch you can swop between the 2 colours , the oil pressure is flash red only cos the engine is not running

Phil... I'm considering getting 5 (3 in centre and 2 on either the A Pillar or the Dashboard) so I may be up for coming to some sort of arrangment....

Nolan_WRX 01 July 2008 09:01 PM

May be interested, will see if i have enough cash in a week or so.

That looks good phil, is it the gauges thats making the beep noise? if it is can it be turned off?
what live switch did you wire the amber cable to? side lights?

rbaz 02 July 2008 05:51 PM

Right I have had a reply from LMA and they have said that Gauge place deal with there retail goods.
Gauge place did respond and they are going to let me know what discount if any they can offer us on the adaptors and the pods.
You can see the adaptors and the pods they do for Subaru’s here Gaugeplace

The adaptors that are needed for the oil gauges are the 2nd and 3rd ones up from the bottom :thumb:

yes its the oil presure , you can set it to warn you if presure is low , and cos the engine wasnt running it was beeping and flashing red

yes you can turn it off

i wired an on off switch to the amber wire just mount it somewhere out the way , so i can switch colours when ever

2 more for the big 20%

Need to see if we can keep it simple for the purchase otherwise everyone will not know where they are getting what from. Rbaz, might be a good idea, for me too, if you list all the components people will need maybe with links if you have time.

Cracking job so far pal. Looking like we've got a good gb going here pal.

Thanks. 8 more people needed for 20% ;)

Right have finally got the info from Gauge place :) Odd time of night for them to be answering emails :wonder:

The info on the gauges themselves are in my original post. When I have the final number of people I will contact everybody on the list with details on how to place your order for the Gauge kit + any extras you need from Xyber Autos. (Extra gauges etc)

Gauge place (Totally different company UK based) will offer us these prices on the adaptors and pods whatever the numbers.

SUBARU DOUBLE OIL ADAPTOR PKGE £25 This is what you need instead of the filter sandwich plate

Then you need a suitable pod if you don’t already have one.
SUBARU 2001-2004 TRIPLE GAUGE DASH POD 52mm or 60mm £60
SUBARU 1998-2000 TRIPLE GAUGE DASH POD 52mm £70
SUBARU 1993-1997 TRIPLE GAUGE REPLACEMENT DASH FACIA £70 (fits over air vent)
SUBARU DOUBLE A PILLAR POD (ALL YEARS) 52mm £30
SUBARU SINGLE A PILLAR POD (ALL YEARS ) 52mm £23
TRIPLE DIN RADIO PLATE PANEL 52mm only £10

Pics and details can be found here Gaugeplace
Prices include VAT but payment must be made by card on phone order (will get the number and pass it on with the instructions at the end))
ALL POSTAGE COSTS FREE

All payments are to be made direct with the suppliers and your orders are direct with them. I am not the seller (only arranging the group discount) you deal with them direct once I pass on the discount codes and instructions.

I am seriously tempted by this. I do have a couple of newbie questions though if i may......

Which 3 gauges would be the most useful out of all the ones on offer? I would like some but have no idea which ones i should be getting to be of most use. What do i need to monitor the closest?

Finally, if i wanted 3 gauges and a dash pod for a 1998 would the total price be 70+ 78.32 (assuming 26 people join) + any extras

Thanks for your help
Chris

The three I would go for are the std ones if you dont ask them to be changed.
Boost Pressure, oil pressure and oil temp. £83.21 for the three (at the moment)
You will then need the fitting kit for the oil senders £25.00 + the pod £70.00
If you have a double din radio slot you can use the din plate instead of the pod only £10. I am going to use one of them :thumb:

bluenosewrx 03 July 2008 03:56 PM

I have a 06 Hawkeye STi, is there a pod available for them, prefer one that goes where the clock is???.the ones advertised says 2001-2004

Thanks in advance guys

rbaz 03 July 2008 08:03 PM

Yes the gauges are 52mm :thumb:

The only pods I know of for the 06 cars are the carbon ones on eBay (in the link I sent you) Maybe somebody else here can point you in the direction of one :wonder:
