There's a black guy with big sideburns, been on a few stand up comedy shows recently.
Can't remember his name but he was very funny. Also, another big black guy (American) who often appears on HIGNFY. Again, very funny. http://www.edfest.tv/2008/images/thu...g_D_Hunter.jpg |

Anyone like Jim Jeffries? My favourite comedian without a doubt. Not too famous yet but hopefully will be one day.

A lot of people's idea of good comedy is very age dependent.

I struggle to find much of todays comedy funny. I think I grew up in a golden age with Monty Python, Faulty Towers, Black Adder, The Young Ones, Morecambe & Wise, The Two Ronnies, Rising Damp, Only Fools and Horses, Spike Milligan, Billy Connolly, Porridge, Some Mothers Do ’Ave ’Em and not forgetting re-runs of Laurel & Hardy :notworthy Some of todays stand-ups are very good, especially the guys who regularly appear on 'Apollo', Mock The Week, HIGNFY and Buzzcocks. Marcus Brigstocke can be brilliantly acerbic. I haven't found a sit-com I like for many years now though :( Ooh, except 'Outnumbered', where the funniest character is the 5yo daughter :lol1:

I tend to go more for stand up and shows like MTW and HIGNFY these days. I won't even mention the appalling "Argumental" with that **** John Sargent. Comedy sit-coms I have liked in the past years have been few and far between. I quite like Gavin and Stacey and Lead Balloon but those are the only two which spring to mind.
Jim Jeffries is v.good -- very rude but very very good! :thumb: |
