Anyone watching the documentary on bbc four, it's them spilling everything from their 2009 tour, mind the christine interviews are earlier footage as from the dance she's had nothing to do with fm.

Also the rumours album name came about because of all the songs were indeed about each of them, and their failing relationships, and someone said the album sounded like a bunch of rumours :D

Anyway nice to see them open up, fm have always been very closed about these matters until now, and it's nice though fans have known it all along lol

Wonder if stevie will mention her coke addiction, she did look a bit off her head in some of the videos.

I watched it hHux, and she did bare all so to speak, went into her coke addiction then her tranc addiction at the time of recording Tango in the night.

Never knew some of the tracks I liked were Fleetwood Mac.

For me, fav tracks have to be, Tango in the Night, Dreams and Rhiannon.

I remember going to see peter greens fleetwood mac on one of his first gigs in 25 years, It was the mid 90`s at the empress ballroom in blackpool, He was just coming back but you could tell he was still struggling to deal with the people and crowds, even after all those years, I still prefer the early fleetwood mac and some people seem to forget that they had already released 3 LP`s by the time albatross came out on single, This was to be his downfall as all the publicity surrounding the single was not wanted by peter green he was more than happy to carry on playing in his little blues band but eventually the pressure and drugs took over and the rest is history as they say.....

Still like Man of the world and I`d rather go blind with Christine Perfect/McVie 9(Chicken shack) great 60`s blues..............................

Chicken Shack, Savoy Brown, John Mayall, great 60's blues bands that I've seen live all those years ago and still listen to on vinyl ... :thumb:

The Pink Ninja 05 February 2011 03:06 PM

+1 for Vinyl

Mayall`s Bluesbrakers is where Clapton ended up after the Yardbirds and before Cream, Got Mayall`s 2nd LP feat Clapton LP somewhere, + Bare Wires, Klooks Kleek, Laurel Canyon, Etc.... & Savoy Brown`s - Getting to point, Raw Sienna, Blue Matter, As well as just about every original 60`s pressing from the Stones, Small Faces, Hendrix, Floyd, Beatles, Yardbirds, Pretty Things, The Who, Animals, Spencer Davis Group, Led Zep.........Then i went all weird and started collecting Psych & Prog from all over the world... Shame i was born too late IMO.

Got quite a bit of vinyl on the quiet, Started collecting about 20 years ago, When i was about 17, A good investment and better than any pension you can buy!!!!!

Some good bands there, wish I had bought more vinyl at the time but always tried to get to see the bands live if possible. Some good clubs near where I was living and saw some good bands. IIRC John Mayall had Mick Taylor on lead when i saw him :thumb:

Happy days :)

David Lock 05 February 2011 06:45 PM

Mayall was a kind of recruiting band for so many great players :thumb:

Savoy Brown - must see if You Tube has a version of Money

I've been reading this thread, thinking.........'I didn't see Stevie Nicks and Christine McVie anywhere!'

Then I realised I'd been watching the Peter Green documentary! :lol1:

I thought the drugs had got to me through osmosis.........:freak3:

The Yardbirds were simaler too, Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck & Jimmy Page all played guitar for them, not at the same time though but beck & Page played together just before page left to form led zep, Another bit of useless info for ya is that it was not jimmy page who was the 1st to use a violin bow on an electric guitar, was a guy called Eddie Phillips i think from the Creation, Big in germany in the mid to late 60`s, Check out the groovy dancin:lol1::lol1:

I like the older songs a lot. 'Dreams' and 'Rhiannon' are great songs! :)
Stevie's voice is amazing and she looks gorgeous in this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tR_i0sKWKEA

I've seen Fleetwood Mac about 4 or 5 times - they were last at Wembley Arena late 2009 I think. John & Mick are old enough for a bus pass and Christine has retired but Lindsey is the heart of the band. Rumours is one of my favourite albums but to press the shuffle button or skip a track on Rumours is a criminal offence. Rumours must be played in full and in order as it's a work of art.
