Not me. I don't subscribe to anything on Sky. I do watch some footie in the Pub though but I'll never specifically go down the Pub to watch F1 FFS.
|
I have sky sports but not legit ;)

The cornering speeds are insane and you just don't get that with bikes or touring cars. And if you have been following F1 for a while, you get to know what driver's are likely to pull off certain moves, who to look out for in the wet. The more I think about it, I'll probably end up paying for it, which really, really pisses me off. The bikers have much bigger baws :) 5t. |
detest Sky almost as much as Tesco...i can understand the beeb cant afford the rights and are sharing it with Sky, but not a chance of me giving a single penny to Sky.
so long as Eurosport remains free i shall keep watching the superb BSB, WSB coverage. |
AFAIK the F1 has its own broadcasting crew that follow them round on tour. So the camera coverage will not change.

You don't even get value for money;
Paying $ky for HALF of the F1, with adverts thrown in between at every opertunity. Vs. ALL of the F1 on one channel, no adverts. No contest really. If they are doing half-arsed coverage like this, they should sell $ky sports at half price too! Why would I pay to view half of something? Its like paying full price for half a car or half a sausage; no matter what way you look at it, the consumer is being shafted. |

I have sky already but hate having to pay nearly £60 a month for all the channels as if i drop one lot its only a fiver off the price. If i want to watch it in HD its another £10 on top of that and i can't see the commentary being any good, anyone remember sky's competitor to f1 a couple of years ago; A1GP, what a shower of crap that was and they ploughed quite a bit of money into trying to make that watchable.

As I don't have Sky, no.
I certainly won't be running out to subcribe to their over price Sky network. I'll probably catch the F1 races on the BBC. But as I won't be able to watch all the season, I'll probably get bored and stop watching it completely. Just wait for a new Concorde agreement to be signed. Then all the races will be on Sky, as they have more money to line Bernie's and the Teams pockets with. The watch Sky F1 subscription rise and rise. |
Where can I get eurosport for free?
|
I don't detest all of Sky. Sky news is the best news channel.
|
Same sort of thing happened to WRC coverage this year, Dave had a bit of coverage, not a lot, but a bit. Now there is more coverage but it's only on ESPN which is a subscription channel :(
Haven't really seen any TV coverage of the WRC this year. :( |
ORLY? mediocre at best IMO.
I don't think there is a good news channel between any of them. |
According to autosport, the races that the BBC will not show live will be shown in full, but later.
If this is true, it's simply a case of remaining incommunicado till the BBC F1 coverage starts. The upshot of all this is the BBC will always do a better job than sky. No-one will watch sky, they'll lose money hand over fist, then drop it a few years later. Till then sky can get to ****. I'd sooner burn the money they're asking for the subscription fee than give it to that slimy, phone hacking wanker murdoch. astraboy. |
i already pay for the full sports package for the football etc. does this mean i will get it for no extra charge? would not pay more for it! i wonder if everyone already paying for a sports package was to reduce to a basic package would it make any diffrence, probably not.

Waits and see I suppose. |

I was watching Sky Sports news when it was annouced. I thought cool.....but then I am sure they said it's only on HD channels ONLY?
We (me and the wife) were going to go to the HD package but its another £10 per month and we pay something like £77 or so a month as it is. Shame as I think the BBC have nailed the F1 team now with DC joining in the booth. Steve |
I have Sky, but not the Sports, Movies or HD packages, won't be upgrading to Sports just for the F1 as it just doesn't seem worth it, I'd rather wait and watch it a but later on and without the adverts. Hope the current beeb f1 team stay on!

I'm a bit out of touch with pricing but are some really paying nearly £100 per month to watch TV...?
|
LOL at all the haters who claim they won't subscribe to Sky on principle - talk about cutting off your nose to spite your face! :brickwall
Or is it really because you can't afford to subscribe? I thought everyone on here was rich, but it seems like lots of folk can't afford a measly 50 or 60 quid a month to watch the best sports coverage in the world. :lol1: |

It's probably those people too who complain about "Having" to pay £120pa (or what ever it is) for the licence fee, which includes BBC1, 2, 3. All the kids channels, and all the Radio channels etc. |

I won't pay extra for F1. We used to have the full subs package, Sports, Movies etc, but sacked best part of it off as it was getting stupidly expensive. Still paying £36 a month or so as it is. Would feck Sky off completely, but, a lot of the channels that Lisa watches her tat on, aren't available on Freeview. |

I am happy to do genuine pay per view if reasonably priced (I do this with motocross gps if I am in). But I don't want to pay a certain amount per month to watch live darts and other stuff I am not really interested in. |
I wont pay... another thing they want a crumbling country to pay out for....

Wait a few months (or Christmas) buy it at a reduced price and watch them all back to back without adverts or waiting a week inbetween episodes. they have just installed Sky at our apartment block. I won't be subscribing. I stil have over 100 programs recorded on my Freeview recorder that I've still to watch. Some of us actually have a life too, that doesn't involve sat in front of the telly every night. |
You lose some
You win some, Murdoch lost NOTW ................... And gained F1  Government collaberation?? :Suspiciou Lets all use the new government e-petion site :hjtwofing |
