For that sort of cash I'd say you wouldn't go too far wrong with a Ford, Mondeo or Focus estate. Not enough for a BMW or VAG variant really. Volvos are also Fords ;) V70's post 2007 (current model) share mondeo components but any before that have nothing to do with Fords.
